If you were David Moyes, who would you buy?

I don't know if it's been mentioned but I have some serious concerns in the GK dpt...think we need to make a good young signing there. Butland would be great but he's got a long ways to go on his contract and they'd really stiff it to us on price. We need something, though...I can't stand Mucha.

Has he even played for the club? That's a serious question by the way.

i still think we should buy holtby, very versatile, exciting player
Its going to be a completely leftfield signing isnt it? Id love him to pull out a serious name. I also dont know how much money we have so could be anyone from £0-10 million really. Thats a lot of scope.

Cup games where he's utter horrid if they count ?

I see. I'll have to take your word for it, though. I've never seen him in the flesh.

Honestly, I don't know....doubt it, at least not in a League match. I've seen some of him on the OS and I just don't like what I see and I think we're better off preparing for the future.

The problem is, if we were to sign Butland as you're suggesting, he would command a considerable fee due to the fact he's English and also the fact he's talked about like hot cakes right now. I think we're set in the goalkeeper department for now myself.

To the OP: "If you WAS David Moyes"??? Are you serious lid? Are we Cockneys on here or "sumfink"? I'm appalled - simply appalled - at your crap grammar, boy.

I was wondering if anyone else had noticed but I was too lazy to post...

I think we should be getting some more young players like niang because if we signed a big player that ended up on the bench would make them unhappy.

Also, i have been hoping for awhile we would sign holtby. I have watched him before and he is great

West Brom in the Carling Cup last season, Chelsea in the Carling Cup last season.
He had a good World Cup before he signed for us. In actual fact, He's a sub-par Keeper.

Yeah, I remember him looking impressive at the World Cup for Slovakia. Must have excelled to land a "big" move and what he got was stuck on our bench ha.

Probably, but I think with the £10 million there are a lot of signings in Europe that could be made for that money.

The three Schalke lads Holtby, Pukki and Draxler are good, Draxler is only 18 but he is quality and has already played about 50 bundesliga games and if I'm not mistaken can play on either wing and holtby can play basically any attacking/central role and Pukki is an out and out striker with an an eye for goal

bakenga from brugge looks a decent player, still only 20 though, similar to draxler

dimitri payet from lille looks quality up front, maybe a bit pricey though

Yiannis Papadopoulos from Dresden looks like a good holding player, not sure if he'll cut it though

Tadic from Twente is gonna be a huge player in the future and abig coup for whoever signs him from twente

Ludovic Obraniak is a decent player from Bordeaux too

I wouldn't mind Samaras from Celtic either as a squad player although I'm sure many will disagree

And also having watched the Olympics, chris wood from west brom looks like he is going to be a decent prem player in a couple of years, very crouch esque which would make our game one dimensional but he has got a great touch and seemingly an eye for goal

Yup, which is why I mentioned that they'd stick it to us on price...was using him more as an age reference

Hope you're right but it's just a gut feeling that if Tim was to go down for any length of time, we'd be screwed. Tim's been a rock as far as his health goes but sh*t happens...the guy didn't even want to come off the pitch for the last game of the season when it was obvious he was hurtin', that's how much of a gamer he is.

Dunno mate, but I think we all need to pray he keeps healthy. Hope I'm completely wrong if something were to happen but it's just a gut feeling.
