If Chelsea or Spurs win the Europa League

There mightn't be an extra place if they win the league, but according to that Mail story there's a permutation that'll see the FA cup place go to 6th instead if Chelsea win the cup but finish 5th

The Mail are talking s***e.

If Chelsea, United or City win it then it goes to the winner of Wigan vs Millwall. If Wigan or Millwall win it then it goes to them.

Not so

If Chelsea finish 5th & win the cup then then the spare EL place would go to the league

Its the first time I'd ever heard this, and what your saying is what I've always thought as well, but they're saying that only applies if the winners have qualified for the Champions League. As you say they've probably got it wrong. The FA site is about as clear as mud on it.

TBH we just need to concentrate on finishing as high in the league as we can and try to qualify through our own performance, not hoping others manage to do it for us.

Brennan hope's we are banned [not really] from europe,so he does not have to keep going around in circle's explaining thing's ,Ha you must have blew a few fuse's mate

No, it wouldn't. The league place is given priority ahead of the cup place. If they qualify through the league the FA Cup spot goes to the runners up.

You're wrong it's the other way round mate. In that scenario the place would go to the league 6th place side

I want united to beat chelsea anyway. I'd much rather see those ****s from chelsea suffer than us getting into the cursed europa league via some loophole

This is the more preferable outcome for us.

It's as if you have all admitted defeat on the race for fourth! Wait until next weekend, then this thread would become more relevant.
