Personally I find it odd we gave a DOF a 3 year deal and most players a 5 year deal.

Unless a DoF has AT LEAST 5 years on the job with TOTAL control over acadamy, direction, recruitment it's a waste of a salary.

It's clear he has not had overall control for at least the first 2 years, so by my reckoning he's 1 year into a 5 year cycle.

Totally agree, Carlo will do better at getting the players he wants in. The Director of Football is only useful for finding young players.
