Noticed quite a few people have started to say this recently whereas i'd argue that the people who don't rate him constantly come out with the daft "people claim he's a good player because he runs round a bit" line. Just like they did with McCarthy who also has a role in the team (when he's actually fit) that requires him to 'run round a lot', make tackles and play 5-10 yard balls to players with more ability on the ball. Just because the team is playing poorly and the fans want the players to show more won't make Gana and Schneiderlin become something they're not. E.g a Ross Barkley type whose going to run with it for 20-30 yards and have a shot. There is no argument that they're not performing to their level but to call him bang average is wrong in my opinion.
He's not performing well enough but it's a team problem. I'd say even Pickford's performance suffered on Thursday for one of the first times this season and that's because the whole set up is an absolute mess.
Gana is a quality player and if he was in a better team he'd show it. Kante would be poor in this current team but i'm sure i'll get a comeback about how he's won the league twice which he has, except it was for 2 teams full of confidence with every player playing pretty much to their maximum level of ability and with a manager who has the team playing effectively. The complete opposite to this current Everton side.
