There’s far too much Fellaini syndrome with some people around Gueye, as though there’s no midfielder who could ever replace him. He’s had a few great patches of form and some horribly average ones during his time with us. He’s been part of some absolutely horrific performances and some very good ones. I don’t buy that he’s an absolutely top player as he struggles with ball retention when under pressure. I can still see Coutinho absolutely waltzing past him at Anfield also.

If someone wants to give us a top fee for him, then I’d say fair enough and we can go and get a replacement or a different type of midfielder. He’s not the only guy in the world who can play defensive midfield though. People said Barry was irreplaceable until Gueye cape from nowhere.
Who on earth didn't think we could replace Fellaini? I liked him, but i'm pretty sure I was in the minority on that score. Most people thought we'd completely mugged United when he left.

Not sure that 'he sometimes has poor games and a Liverpool player took him on once' really justifies us selling someone who has absolutely undoubtedly been one of our best payers for 3 years running personally. Every player can be replaced, but I think the way Gueye plays is key to our set up, and there's not many players better than him at doing it.

Listen, no one is denying you an opinion.

Are you denying others the right to disagree with it?

Cut it out.

When its the same people persistently trying to get a rise then yeah I'll point out their hypocrisy mate.

As I said plenty of people post an opinion everyday and get healthy debate yet if I do the same its like I've took a dump on the Dixie Dean statue and it gets tedious after a while tbh. I can accept cliques as thats human nature - you see it in the work place, school yard, basically everywhere in society and thats life - but I'll always defend myself against hypocrites who think they are all mighty and never wrong on anything ever.

Anyway apologises for going off topic @Groucho

He was bang average for most of 17/18. He was ok for 16/17 and for the first half of 18/19. Second half of 18/19 he ramped it up and was very good.

He could be very easily replaced in my view. Our midfield is often dominated especially away from home. Not saying that’s completely down to him but we could set up a lot more effectively with different personnel.

He has scored couple of goals in the finals. Could he be used more in a position as in the Senegal formation? Further up the pitch?
