I don't think he will be with us next season. I would guess that has been known at Everton since January.
A very good player anyway who has improved further again under Marco Silva and is now recognised as a big player for his country as well as his club.
I think a lot of clubs would be very interested in signing him but I think it will only be a certain few clubs that will interest him.
I think he is happy at Everton but certain opportunities may be hard for him to resist.

It looks like he would prefer to move if the right club came in for him and a fee in excess of 30m might be hard to refuse.

With the way fees are going I’d think we’d want quite a bit more than £30m

Gana can obviously be replaced

Every player can be replaced

But replacing Gana would be an upheaval I think. Not a massive one but we'd definitely miss what he brings

Gana leaving would, I think, represent a complete shift in how the team plays

There are of course other defensive center mids out there, but Gana is the next tier down from the likes of your Kante's

Gana is the best CDM we can probably have, because I can't see someone the next level up from him coming to Everton and he's probably the best player in his tier

So if he goes I think we'll be going for a more traditional center mid, which will definitely mean we won't be as strong defensively, which means the way we play will certainly have to change

Gana going leads to a whole host of other changes. Granted he's going to leave one day anyway, even if that means he retires at Everton, but I'm not sure we could get better at centre defensive mid if he left right now, so I'd be loathe to see him go. He's still got years left in him yet, no need to sell if he's happy to stay
