He was bang average for most of 17/18. He was ok for 16/17 and for the first half of 18/19. Second half of 18/19 he ramped it up and was very good.

He could be very easily replaced in my view. Our midfield is often dominated especially away from home. Not saying that’s completely down to him but we could set up a lot more effectively with different personnel.

He was absolutely outstanding at the start of last season, and for the majority of 16/17. I have no idea what you've been watching, but it can't have been Everton.

Whilst I’ve never felt he was a great player , thought the way he conducted himself after the PSG saga in January was spot on, didn’t get sulky or show a lack of application, did it the right way.
