How stupid are Manu?

Welbeck could be a good signing, especially considering he's from Man Utd. He's good technically - I know that surprises people and there's a few clips out there that people would use to say otherwise - but his link-up play is good, capable of some really nice touches, he's athletic and works hard for the team.

The one thing I'd say is that his finishing lets him down. Even playing on the right wing, getting 2 goals in 40 appearances for a Fergie team is shocking. Shouldn't have stopped him getting in the box or finishing the chances that did come his way. Maybe playing off the last man centrally will give him better quality chances, think his goal-to-mins ratio last season was really good. You'd imagine he'd get some good chances at Arsenal anyway.

26 pages? One of the busiest threads on these forums?

But no, no-one cares! Dry your eyes mate lol
I did say ' we have an opinion ' but your definition of no-one cares is like night and day to ours.

Dry my eyes ? lol ...... *sigh* There is 36 pages in the Southampton thread... and what ?

There is no knocking that its a decent thread and debate but could you do away with the bitterness on Utd. Trust me lad, no one gives a flying one.

I personally don't mind City and Chelsea spending big on players - makes the league interesting! You'd soon change your tune if Scrooge Kenwright got the chequebook out. Your posts just smack of bitterness :)

I get all this 'we generate our money' thing mate and know exactly what you mean. My issue with that is that Liberpewl, despite not winning the league (for how long Davek?), continue to be aided by Sky to generate huge revenue that they can then spend on transfers. How is that fair and surely the only way for other teams to compete is via the sugar daddy route. So is there a right or wrong way?

You're ignoring his point mate

You're ignoring his point mate

They generate their own money through sponsorship and were generating that money before the Glazers

It is different to City. City had that money injected to them by an outside force

Man United raised that money by being one of the world's most largely supported clubs

What United do with that money is their own business. It is their money at the end of the day

Mikey, I'm really not ignoring his point! Fact is they have slagged Man City and Chelski off for years for trying to "buy success". What exactly have Man U largely done since 1992 - they have bought success!! All this baloney they spout about bringing the youth through and building teams - what they have done more recently (very successfully admittedly) is buy "young" players from other clubs i.e Rooney, Jones, Smalling, etc and even the likes of Bebe, Pogba, Hernandez, Anderson and Januzaj (can't be bothered checking that spelling!). Then they have bought in the "big" names Veron, Ferdinand, Van Persie etc to top it up!
2013 they won the league by 11 points, they have since spent in excess of £200m (about £150m net of sales) in an attempt to buy that success again. Doesn't reallymatter where the money comes from, they are only doing what they have always done (since 1992) and exactly what City and Chelsea have over the last 5-10 years!

Rich team wins league shocker.

Ahhh I get it. We're your direct rivals now and a threat to your teams aspirations. Everton are in Utds way. Thats why you're here.

That must sting a little. All those pots and titles and your direct rivals now, is our lot, who havent won a thing since pissing on your lot ( ironically ) in the cup final and havent got a pot to piss in. Still you have to steady the ship.
