How satisfied so far are you with the running of Everton by the Friedkin group ?

Wonderful, couldn't be pleased !

Way too forgiving.

Of course they have improved the finances. That's in their own interests as they'll want to flip at a profit.

The team? Not so much. And that's where they expose themselves.

Well I wouldn’t be polarised way or another mate but it was a skip fire they walked into and they they have invested a hel of a lot money in the club, to its benifit. That has to be acknowledged and it’s often not. The club is still need of recovery as a business. So far they have put their money were mouth is. I won’t argue with that.

There motives is guess work, but I’d suggest it’s naive to think not every owner invest in a football club for it to appreciate and make money. That’s investment. Your 600 mill is better of sitting in an investment that will appreciate by 10’s% rather then a savings account with %s. If you manage it well, the asset appreciates - do a Moshiri you loose your shirt. The fortunes of the club are very much linked to good management, so is the growth of the investment - so everyone’s Iintwrats align. It’s absolutely congruent. But the jury is still out in terms of how they manage the club.

To be honest, I don’t know what I can fault them on really. They’ve done pretty much what logically and realistically expected them to do.

I think it’s fair to judge them on the structure they put in place next summer, because the execution of this window will be the dirt with all its working parts.

Just my take!

Honestly, I don't care that they haven't been to see us, I don't care that they don't do any press, what I care about is how they run the club and who they appoint to run it. I'm not at all impressed with Angus Kinnear, he seems like a bog standard middle management drone, the type many of us have to deal with on a daily basis with their nonsensical management buzzword speak that seems to last forever but tells you nothing. However, Kinnear stated, publicly, that there was a two window plan, so I'll take him at his word. If this window is a success and we kick on in the league then, fair enough, TFG will have done what they said they would do. That would require European qualification and us beating at least one club of note in a cup. If, however, we finish mid-table again and do absolutely nothing in the cups then Moyes, Kinnear and TFG will have nowhere to hide. They will have failed. This upcoming season is everything, if there is no progress this season then I suspect there won't be any progress. The retention of Moyes is a big red flag for me, Kinnear's banal corporate speak and being happily dissatisfied is red flag number two. This window is the ultimate litmus test.

Still too early to say
They came in to a basket case of a club , up to its ears in debt , a half built stadium and no leadership in several key departments
Manager left so they had to get some in to steady the ship and give them room to operate whilst they got things sorted
Debt sorted
Stadium finished
Leadership team in place ( yet to be decided if they are good enough but IMO Kinnear is on rocky ground )
Funds provided last summer
They can’t be held responsible for how it was spent that’s down to Moyes Kinnear etc
One thing they have shown as American owners is that they can be ruthless when necessary at Roma and make swift decisions
I reckon they do not get involved in day to day decisions as they realise they know little about running a football club so appoint who they believe to be competent professionals
This summer will tell if they back us in the transfer market
Warning going all Zatman FIFA mode here
Sales of
Ndiaye
Tim
Charley
McNeill
Patterson
One of Barry / Beto
Should raise 140/150m
Add that to 100m Budget
That should be enough to sign
2 Good attacking FBs
A RW
A. Dm
A good striker
Plus Hackney George and Grealish
Let see if they have the stones to sanction this in the second of the 2 summer window strategy
I’m not too pushed about radio silence but I would like to see them at the ground now and again
There again we are an investment for them and I don’t go to Post office every week to check my investments

The stadium wasn't half done when they arrived, it was almost done.

And they do get involved in the running of Roma...very much so.

They didn't 'sort the debt', they restructured a deal on how interest on it was paid.

They can be held responsible on how cash was spent: they have the power to remove the people who wasted it. That's their job.

They get involved in Roma to the same extent they do here
They appoint who they they deem to be competent professionals and let them do their job
If those competent professionals don’t do their job competently then the Friedkins will sack them
So you ask why haven’t they sacked Moyes or Kinnear ?
We don’t know what their remit was when they were appointed
Maybe they are competently carrying out the remit they were given when appointed
As to finances
They restructured the debt as do all big companies
They got the stadium finished
The carpetbagger ( who you said on numerous occasions would never start to build the stadium ) hadn’t got the money to finish it TFG did
They also spent a lot of time getting sponsors in and making sure the stadium earned more money which according to TFG will go straight back into the club
As I said still too early to say
As was said they walked into a skipfire and are not finished the process yet
I will give them till August 2027
See will they invest this summer
See will they sack Moyes next June
See who they appoint as new manager and see will they back him
Roma wasn’t built in a day Dave neither will Everton
There again you may be right ( there’s a first time for everything ) and they may steady the ship and flip the club for a profit
