How satisfied are you with Moyes tenure 2.0

How satisfied are you with Moyes' second reign so far?

48 points* last two seasons. Nearer the top half than the relegation places.

*points deducted added back in.
I don't want him for the future Dave as i said but we have to be honest and give credit where it is due. The whole club was absolutely shocking before he came.

We’re in far better shape as a squad than before he arrived, and our perpetual relegation worries have abated.

We still play largely crap footy and his safety first/Moyes’ Boys team selections are infuriating, though.

If he goes this Summer I think it’ll be safe to say he did the stabilisation job he came to do. If he lingers he’ll probably end up gone in the middle of next season with far less goodwill.

You are correct with your statement, but you can't deny that most of us were looking nervously over our shoulder for the majority of those seasons.

Yes, of course. And do you think we wouldn't have been the same if Moyes had a terrible squad with 10 points deducted throughout the season?

For posterity. Let's compare after the Fulham game...

Putting aside his support of Kenwright, how he left last time & the way he tried to take Baines & Fellani i thought he did well last season & I was pleasantly surprised.

This season he has reverted to type & it just brings back all the frustrations from MK1, shoe horning in his favourites, negative tactics, players out of position, poor in game management, late substitutions, premier league experience etc.
I could accept this if the football was entertaining but it is one level above Dycheball.

That first half against Brighton was so bad & so negative. They were on a poor run & we handed them the initiative.
When we went a goal down he changed formation & we dominated which would indicate we would probably have won that with a more positive attitude.

You can also guarantee that he wouldn’t have made the same changes if we were still level. He wouldn’t have thought we can win this with some positive subs & that is why he is your steady eddy mid table manager.

Will get you 40 points but will never win anything of consequence. Sadly it seems that this is now seen as success to many supporters.

He's a reactive manager. Always has been and always will.

The only thing he likes taking the initiative on attacking-wise is his own non-senior players.

If you want better than that you get shut.

Done a very good job, shame he is petrified to have a go but we have looked vulnerable particularly at home so maybe this is as good as our squad can muster at the moment, we are one of the lowest spenders in the league.

But when you look at the style of play we have easily enough money to change that and thereby try and get success another way.
I honestly don't know Dave,if the media are to be believed we've been knocked back by a few players,Tete may or may not have been the RB who would have made a difference but then Fulham made him a better offer. I think Moyes is okay for the position we were in, going forward I honestly can't think of a manager who'd do a better job given PSR and the fact it's doubtful we'll be offering European football. Moyes has his faults but do I believe he sent the players out to stroll around in the first half against Leeds,Wolves away in the League Cup, Sunderland in the FA Cup and Newcastle, Brentford,Spurs...
