After are recent past he has come in and for the first time in years got is not looking over are shoulder at the relegation spots, so I suppose he has done what the owners expect of him,
that's fair enough. , we were a shambles
Going forwards
He will more than likely get a few seasons more at least to confirm we are not relegation fodder and then we will get another manager.
He frustrated me last time he was here and still does
But beening realistic he has done a decent job.

The poll findings so far underline how dumbed down Evertonians are now.

They've lost all sight of what this club is. We may as well be Burnley now given the lack of ambition.

Our fans: utterly crushed by the club.
I'd say more realistic given the money that TFG have been able to invest in the squad under PSR rules.

One utter looney voting very dissatisfied. The same idiot who thinks Dyche and Southgate are superior managers.

We have been involved in relegation battles for the past five seasons.

We have lower net spend in five years than the teams who’ve just been promoted in Burnley, Leeds & Sunderland…

We spend 100m in the summer which is absolute peanuts, we were outspent this summer by 12 other clubs.

100m literally replaced the players we lost to frees or were returned from loans here.

We are moving forward, and Moyes in large is a big reason for that.

Is he the long term option, probably not, however at least give some respect to Moyes for a job so far well done.

You mean like Martinez, silva, koeman and lampard?

How did those 4 get on with us again? Oh yeah, relegation battle, relegation zone, relegation battle and relegation zone again.

Cant wait to get another one in i wonder what will happen.

All i ever hear is "get a younger manager" like a) its ever worked before and b) this idea that a younger manager will automatically be better then moyes just because they have less experience... madness

Im responding to this purely because you gave me an "unsure".

Martinez didn't ever have us in a relegation scrap, did he?

Koeman was sacked, replaced by Allardyce and we finished 8th, such was the predicament we were in. Regardless of where we were, when he was sacked. It was absolutely the right call. He never got everton, hos arrogance was a terrible fit for us.

Lampard is a poor manager at the top level, yet had his hands tied completely by FFP. Dont think anyone can deny his likeability, but definitely his credentials.

I always liked Silva, pressure got to him, it was too soon for him. Hes doing a sound job, with less pressure. A relegation scrap again, is the wrong terminology, given we weren't in a relegation scrap with him.

So question is, why cant fans have ambition? Why cant fans want more than just good enough? Why cant fans want to be entertained for £800+ a year?

Villa, Newcastle, pushed on... why cant fans want more? Your examples all related to a previous regimes. For years we were told its "little old everton"... but how about we break those shackles and actually push on rather than just be steady?

Sometimes its easy to forget that we have been in relegation battles for the previous 3 seasons before he came. His first few months completely quelled relegation worries and this season we have a realistic chance of qualifying for Europe. I don't know how anyone could not be satisfied with that. Not the manager for the future but he has definitely done a good job stabilising us.

The club motto has meant nothing for 40 years.
his lordship has a very bad habit for speaking on behalf of others.

re the thread he's meowing in, we're not battling down the foot of the table, we're not having the vultures swoop to pick off the few fine players we have, it's better than we've had for a while. We've a core of younger players that could end up a good side.

48 points* last two seasons. Nearer the top half than the relegation places.

*points deducted added back in.
