He’s the stepping stone we needed going into new ownership and a new stadium. If people can’t see that then I just assume they thrive on chaos.
Same here, done a decent job but our standard of play especially at Hill Dickinson is pretty awful.Somewhat Satisfied. Home record needs to improve
Right so all younger managers are terrible because of the ones who've failed for us before? You mean like Martinez, silva, koeman and lampard?
How did those 4 get on with us again? Oh yeah, relegation battle, relegation zone, relegation battle and relegation zone again.
Cant wait to get another one in i wonder what will happen.
All i ever hear is "get a younger manager" like a) its ever worked before and b) this idea that a younger manager will automatically be better then moyes just because they have less experience... madness
We've had the best of timesWe've had good times.
Expansive style at home?Hes done a fantastic job.
We've been battling relegation for 4-5 seasons and moyes came in and after about 2 months of him being here we havent had to worry about it once.
Best away form in the league since hes came in. Got us top half and also challenging for Europe. While afcon and a injury crisis is going on.
Hes not perfect and he burns my head out with his team selections. The cup exit were unfortunate but i dont blame him for the Sunderland defeat, that was on the players. The league cup defeat was 100%on him though.
The home form is bad. I presume that's down to him trying to play a more attacking and expansive game at home. Which doent work with our backline keane and tarks are essentially a pair of wardrobes and playing higher up the pitch leads us to being exposed by pace.
I think they said on toffeetv, hes 80% amazing and 20% just does my head in and thats how i feel about him.
Right so all younger managers are terrible because of the ones who've failed for us before?
Expansive style at home?
So you think Moyes will carry on forever? He's done the job needed of him and I'm grateful for his steadying hand and his experience of organising a side. If we're happy with being mid-table or on the cusp of European qualification but not quite able to get there then Moyes is the man. If we want to implement a long-term vision then we need a younger coach for obvious reasons as Moyes is getting on a bit. And with the profile of player we're buying it looks to me that the Friedkins are looking at us as a long-term project so we need a manager who can be part of that and hopefully be our Arteta that Arsenal have. Just because we've had young managers fail before shouldn't mean we shouldn't have longterm aims going forward rather than staying with the steady Eddie security types of manager that Moyes is. No doubt you'll now cite West Ham as a be careful what you wish for scenarioAs opposed to a younger manager is going to make us better because hes younger?
So we're on a stepping stone, ok I can go with that. He’s the stepping stone we needed going into new ownership and a new stadium. If people can’t see that then I just assume they thrive on chaos.
