How long do we stick with Jelavic???

I respect what you say and thank you for taking the time to post a reply to my thoughts. You're still as wrong as the other bafoons and in a year or two, once Jelly has gotten over this glitch, I'll highlight these comments. Until then the matter is undecided. Alas.

It's not about the goals. It's about the type of player.

Berbatov drops off the fron t man and looks for space in front of the defence and lounges around playing quick passes.

Jelavic hangs off the last man hoping to get in and score quick one touch goals.

Compare jelavic to inzaghi or owen and that's fine, but he doesn't play like berbatov even if he's as good (which he isn't).

It's a classic number ten type vs a classic number 9 type.

First of all, let me know when you've finished school/Uni and I'll start to listen. Until then you're a kid who should respect his elders.

Second if I want to invent a new playful insult for the lot of you ****ging off Jelavic then I will. The fact that my word bafoon looks a little bit like yours buffoon is irrelevant!
What if the elder is question is a bafoon?

We all know he has the ability to play and score more goals than he has been this season, but how do we boost his confidence with out playing him??

1) Maybe a good run in the reserves hoping he scores in the reserves
2) Keep playing him and just hope
3) Play him up front and task the other players with a mission of setting him up
4) Just drop him and see what happens
5) Just get rid of him at the end of the season and make a big loss

Surely even Moyes must be doing or planning some thing else than just sticking with Jelavic through bad times as we have some tough games over the next few weeks that are important to get some goals to get points if we are gonna stand a good chance of europe next season either through the league or cup!!

I think we need to drop him in the reserves until he scores 2 or 3 goals in 4 or 5 games and play Anichebe just in front of Fellaini!!

Thoughts???

1) The reserves hardly play....reserve league is not what it used to be....would be futile
2) Yes. He is playing not too bad...just needs a goal
3) Isn't that what the aim is anyway?
4) No.
5) Hell no

Not sure how i'm '****ing' Jelavic off by simply telling you that he's nothing like Berbatov.

And as for the 'respect your elders' part, maybe when you don't go round calling people buffoons for pulling you up on your utter tripe football analysis i'll show you some 'respect'.

Please explain how Berbatov and Jelavic are similar players, i await your insight with baited breath.

While I agree Felli needs to go down to midfield and then have a true CAM playing higher up, it doesn't excuse Jelavic's horrific misses this season. When he has had the ball played to him on the ground in the box he has failed. Also to have a player that only feeds off of 'one kind of pass' that is being suggested seems like a luxury most teams cannot afford. Also how is having lots of crosses a bad thing when you have Baines and Coleman providing them?

Disagree with most of that to be honest.

He talks about us being the team with the 2nd most crosses in the league as if it's a bad thing. It's a strikers job to get into space and get on the end of crosses. If he could only score when it's cutback to him then he wouldn't really be much use anyway.

True, but I don't think it was ever said that it was a bad thing, just that it was bad for Jelavic. Players like Fellaini however, thrive.

What class and skill is this? The skill he had of finding space and putting and that penalty attempt against Reading was cringeworthy.the ball away has deserted him for an age now. I don't see what class and other skills he pocesses. His passing is poor his falling over is ridiculously poor I hope this class and skill comes out on show soon because the way he has been for months is basically a waste of space. He looks an awful player at the mo

I've seen a bloody lot worse. And not that far from here.
