6 - team ethos feels more positive, but lets not forget we have only really played Arsenal from the top teams (and that ended the usual way)

Has been such an easy fixture lust on paper - the poll should be run again after our next 4 away games. Then we will truly know where this team is heading...

The most superior finger based chocolate is (or was) a Spira. (look it up kids)
Damn you to hell Cadbury's....

But in 4 games it won't be a 1/4 of the season now will it.

Stared well, maybe could have had a few more points, but saying that we are twice as high and have twice as many points now to same amount of games last season,i know we have had easier so called games, but the West ham and Huddersfield games prove we wont win all these so called easier games etc,i feel more confident playing the likes of man utd than i have done in a while, even if we go behind i fell we can come back against whoever etc,but gaining 15 from the 1st 27 points is not bad at all

I think once we have learnt how to score from set pieces we will be laughing! I remember the days of a corner being exciting, now you are just fearful that we are going to get done on a counter attack
Mate. I've always been scared when we have a corner. We've been susceptible to the counter for as long as I can remember.

Solid, being knocked out of the cup has taken the shine off a bit of it.

Can see what we're trying to do and just hope it lasts.

Really enjoying Goodison the last few games there's an air of positivity.

6 out of 10. Given our fixture list, we could and probably should be sitting near the top of the table. The fact we aren't is a result of the catastrophe left by Koeman and Lardarse. I'm seeing plenty of green shoots of optimism to look forward to the rest of the season. I fully expect the rest of the season to gradually build up to an 8 or 9.

5/10. The defence still looks like it could go at any time. Leads needlessly relinquished due to poor organisation, drawing 2-2 with Bournemouth for example.

It’s marginally better than last season but there’s still a long, long way to go.
If you were marking the defence in isolation I would agree.

But the attacking and overall style of football is so much better than last year it's incomparable.

6.5 out of 10. Definite improvement in style of football and signings look decent so far. Got to be tempered with the fact that the fixture list has been kind and 15 points from 9 games is OK but not great

Next 5 games will say a lot though. United, Chelsea and RS included in that (plus BHA and Cardiff). 10 points from those 5 games (& 25 from 14 games) and you could easily change that 6.5 to an 8 or a 9. That would really give the platform to push on for a +65 point season, which should be good enough for 6th.

4/10.

Not good enough.

Where do you think improvements should have been made?

Do you think Silva should have incorporated his new style of play more slowly so the teething problems were less and we could have taken advantage of the early season fixture list? Even though this short termism may have affected the ability to get to our long term playing style.

Do you think he could have integrated the new players better?

4 out of 10 seems harsh to me. Or would just beating WHU and Huddersfield make a massive difference in your opinion? There was always going to be hiccups early on. Going from playing Allardyce style of football to Silva's was always going to be a challenge. As was incorporating new players.

Martinez ALWAYS placed the team front and centre and emphasised the players.

The fact that you supported Sgt Major Hoofball speaks volumes here.

I take it you mean koeman ? I supported him? I wouldn’t say I did, I mean I said he has improved our defence from el fraudo and we needed to give him time. His second season I wanted him gone, but you were whinging about him after a few games
