Given the injury list up until now meaning that he hasn't been to put his best team out, and that a new manager needs time to get his ideas across, it has been more than decent.

7.5/10. Onwards and upwards.

I think once we have learnt how to score from set pieces we will be laughing! I remember the days of a corner being exciting, now you are just fearful that we are going to get done on a counter attack

I voted 6/7. I don't think we have been quite as good as some are making out but its a vast improvement on the dire football served up under bfs. The fans will always get behind a team that tries & that seems to be happening now.
Our league position reflects how i feel & its what we deserve. I'm not a fan of the whole " if this guy had just scored" or " if only we didnt let that goal in" stuff as it did happen & we weren't good enough. I do believe we are getting better & will be even better come the end of the season & its exciting to know we have some really solid & creative players.
Last season there was no hope to be seen but now there is light at the end of the tunnel.

Whisper Gold.

5/10. The defence still looks like it could go at any time. Leads needlessly relinquished due to poor organisation, drawing 2-2 with Bournemouth for example.

It’s marginally better than last season but there’s still a long, long way to go.

I think we all feel that there is a real possibility of improving results as the season goes on with players settling into Silva's style of play, and with injured players returning. Already the shots on goal/ on target stats bear no comparison with the stodge that we endured last year, and there is evidence of increased confidence in defence albeit still a way to go.

Bearing this in mind, we have accumulated 15 points from 9 and if we simply maintained that level to the end of the season it should reap 60 points, compared with 49, 61 and 47 in the past three seasons.

Verdict - room for improvement to end of season, but already vastly improved from last season. 7.5/ 10

6 - team ethos feels more positive, but lets not forget we have only really played Arsenal from the top teams (and that ended the usual way)

Has been such an easy fixture lust on paper - the poll should be run again after our next 4 away games. Then we will truly know where this team is heading...

The most superior finger based chocolate is (or was) a Spira. (look it up kids)
Damn you to hell Cadbury's....

Last 3 bellends dave , don’t forget mr I don’t practise corners, do fitness training or believe in defending , phenomenal Martinez
Martinez ALWAYS placed the team front and centre and emphasised the players.

The fact that you supported Sgt Major Hoofball speaks volumes here.

6-7.

I always said that I'd judge Silva, and in effect his Everton team, after 10 games; but seeing as there's a thread I'll do it now. I like Silva more than I expected. I think that the team is playing attractively and there is a distinct vision and direction in the team's play that appears that will improve in time. Even when we were beaten this season, I was seeing improvements in various aspects of our play.

We have lost a few points which we shouldn't have, and got knocked out of the League Cup. This is the downside which doesn't make this score any higher though. Having said that, I'd rather a 6 or 7 now and a 8 or 9 at the end of the season than the other way round.

The players seem content and determined, and the new ones have settled in. Digne, Zouma, Richarlison have made me very happy. I like Bernard and hope that in a few more games, he will be my favourite due to repeating what he did against Leicester more often. Gomes looks a little off the speed, but he hasn't played in an age after injury so that will hopefully come, and Mina has been unfortunate to see Keane's resurrection as a player hamper his chances. The other players all seem to be working more effectively as well which is a welcome sight.

I now have doubts about the striker role and the right back role. Coleman doesn't look his imperious self, and Kenny is sub-par at the moment. Maybe Silva and the coaching staff can change that around. As for strikers, Cenk has been full of effort but doesn't look the real deal to me. Calvert-Lewin looks like he needs a few seasons to get to his best, and Niasse isn't the man you want to tilt for honours with is he? Sort those 2 positions out and it will be a very good team indeed.

I think this is a team for the future at the moment though. If Everton keep on going as they are and steadily improving, then there's going to be a level of expectation on the boys that we haven't seen for a long old while.

Looking forward to the half season ratings now.
