Happy enough.. If we're not going to win the league let's enjoy the upturn and not get upset by some (expected) losses. At least we'll die trying instead of the Moyes Knife to a gunfight mentality and don't even mention F....m

Looking at the table in isolation it’s a 6/10 but a bonus point has to be given for the attacking improvement, seemingly good recruitment and the fact that we’ve identified our biggest early season problem - conceding from set pieces - and at the very least have been training hard to avoid it happening as regularly.

7/10

PS: I am baffled at the Twix love. Boost >>>>>>>>> Twix.

There was a moment on Sunday when the second goal went in when the ground was rocking, everyone singing. It's not felt like that in a very very long time. Its not perfect but I can for the first time in a long time see a team and a way playing! Hopefully it continues.

You just had to see how many people stayed behind to clap the team on Sunday. We haven’t had that for ages. When we used to win under SA, people would leave frustrated as it felt like a loss. Goodison was great on Sunday and everyone had that spring back in their step, even on the way up there after the team was announced. The good vibes around the club are brilliant, that in itself shows how well the current regime are doing.

6-7

This season is all about putting the foundations down and setting a blueprint for a solid team.
There will be great moments ahead (I think we will beat one of the so called big 6 away), and some poor performances (Huddersfield, West Ham and the last 15 at Bournemouth). The cup defeat was more about seeing which players are done here. I hate that we take this approach, but hopefully it will lead to better players coming in to replace them.

I hope that by the time we do take them seriously it is because we can challenge consistently for Silverware, rather than a flash in the pan approach which has seen clubs go boom and bust.

We have made noticeable progress since May and that is positive.

The overwhelming disappointment is not being in the League Cup.

The FA Cup is nigh on impossible to win these days with so many managers under pressure to win something.

We really ballsed that up, and I despise the thought of a crappy club winning it when we could have.

6.5 out 10. Fits right in the 6/7 bracket.

One big negative - the League Cup.
One tiny negative - early growing pains (points dropped at Wolves and Bournemouth but I believe had those games come around about now, we’d have seen them through with no issues so that’s shown our progression.)

Overall positive - style of play/entertainment/easy on the eye. Will only get better with a full squad at Silva’s disposal and possibly a quality January signing or two.

The league cup definitely was a balls up, given the fact we are so long without a trophy and that represented the most realistic opportunity to get some silver, it was disappointing. thankfully the league form has picked up and we aren't focusing on it as much but yeah, a bit meh that one.

I am pleased so far, still room for improvement and way too early to be predicting what position we will end up. The biggest change is that i am starting to feel that excitement building up when a game is due again, and i have not felt that for a few seasons. I am most excited by the fact that on Sunday, Marco had six of his ‘own’ players on the pitch and the bench. Come January / February it will hopefully be a few more and then we should really start to see the style emerge.

So overall, happy, there have been and will no doubt continue to be) a few glitches, but we are now climbing the hill, rather than rolling down it, and that feels good! :)

Twirls are absolutely better than Twix's you lunatic. In fact, there are many chocolate bars that are vastly superior to Twix.

I was gonna say a 7/10 for this season but I just remembered that they have jibbed off selling Mars Duos in the ground for Kit Kat Chunkys so that takes it down to a 4. #SilvaOut
Exactly. Hence saying “the only thing better than a Twix is a Twirl” is an awful shout

add three from Bournemouth and Wolves and we would be well up there and they were both very unfortunate/terrible decision making games.

I am impressed with what I am seeing all over the park and every player (bar Mina) has improved our first 11 which is all you want.

It is great to be feel positive about Everton again and see the direction we are going.

6 ar a 10,(boooooo) But beat Utd on Sunday that could rise to a 7 (wooooooh)so far its just been a slightly more easy on the eye version of producing results similar to any other season since 2005 bar maybe Martinez first season, however there are some good signs (yeeeaaaaahhh) that progress may come once the team is settled and a new quality striker is brought in. Now I feel as smug as the bellend above only I do realise my opinion is irrelevant.
