Because even within Islam differing factions hate each other. Iran for example hates the Saudis and vice versa, they want each other gone.

Still not sure what their cause is. Global conversion to one type of Islam, or protection of the Billions that flow into their offshore accounts via opium and oil?

they say the terrorists will not prevail but the attacks continue. on average an arrest every day. the government cannot protect against a line Wolf attack but how many of theserisks are known? liberty of those who risk the security of the majority should be questioned. There were no major Islamic terror attacks on western soil before the Americans started funding the mujahedin during the soviet Afghan war.

There weren't - but that is because they concentrated on matters "at home" like the assassination of Sadat, or the Grand Mosque siege.

The ultimate goal is the worldwide establishment of Islam, but the goal of the fools that carry out these attacks is just to die whilst doing something that they think is on behalf of the faith.

Only 90% should be appalled? That's still not high enough!!!!!!

"In a series of questions on the terror threat in Britain, 4% said they sympathised with people who took part in suicide bombings (1% said they completely sympathised and 3% said they sympathised to some extent)" 4% might seem small but it's the equivalent to 100,000 UK Muslims.

Other concerning opinions from this recent-ish survey, .....not just terror related but other area's of incompatibility / lack of integration into the UK.

"52% said they disagreed".... with the legalisation of homosexuality. "Nearly a quarter (23%) supported the introduction of sharia law in some areas of Britain, and 39% agreed that “wives should always obey their husbands”, compared with 5% of the country as a whole. Two-thirds (66%) said they completely condemned people who took part in stoning adulterers, and a further 13% condemned them to some extent. Nearly a third (31%) thought it was acceptable for a British Muslim man to have more than one wife, compared with 8% of the wider population."

I think 200 million muslims in the world are probably not that appealled about these cretins doing it in the name of Islam

4% in the U.K. One of the freest countries in the world is huge! Think of how they feel in Iraq, and the like

You still miss the point. The children of today know all about other religions. The issue is how to stop Islamic children being radicalised and becoming terrorists........

I'd argue the point about just how much they know in reality about other religions mate and how much of it is the tabloid and twitter style misinformation and misrepresentation portrayed as facts.

Hatred and fear breeds hatred and fear, only way any hope exists is through education - ACTUAL truthful reporting about all 'sides' and thats the hard part - there is little will on either side amongst those who could make that happen to do so...

Watch how over the next weeks and months this will be used as a political tool to promote fear and divide for politicians own ends.


Ultimately the major problem is Islam as a religion in many ways has/is mirroring the way Christianity morphed over the ages but it's about 400 years behind in that development.

I'll think you'll find that the likes of Bin Laden, snook in and took advantage of the general instability in Afghanistan, during the war with the Soviets mate.

Russia hasn't suffered as badly as the West at the hands of these nutters as they know the Soviets will hit them twice as hard for every atrocity committed against Soviet citizens.

It's a bit harder for Islam to reform though as the Quran is the word of god. A bit harder for a religion to reform from that.

Islam is fascinating and bewildering as early Islam embraced science much more than Christianity of the time. It's gone backwards
