Current Affairs How do we tackle terrorism?

Great idea @Bungle I don't want to discuss the issue myself today as I'd rather we focus on the victims but if some people feel the need to talk it over, better in here then annoying everyone else in the other thrend.

Police in every Mosque in the Uk (or any other religious building). Huge sentences for families who harbour these lunatics and dont report suspected radicalisation of their family members.

Absolutely toxic subject this is now, as it's entirely polarised to extremes.

To genuinely wonder whether there is a current problem with Islamic ideology is racist and bigoted, and to defend the majority of peaceful muslims and worry about islamophobic backlash from the far right is terrorist apologism.

There's a real lack of clear thinking about cause and effect, the links between belief and action, the overlap of religion and politics.

Have no answers, but pretty sure that the extremes of opinion we hear over the next few days won't get anywhere near even a diagnosis of the problem, let alone a solution.

You also have to remember the bloke who did this strapped a bomb to himself, walked into a crowd of young girls, looking them in the eye and pressed the detonator.

Any ideas on how to reason with such people?

You're right of course. But think the reasoning needs to be done before people get to that point of no return.
