Given that SOME PEOPLE decided that this was a good week to remove our beloved site for a day or so , I was a bit bored , - I've been picturing D/D , like two Beethovan-alikes whom have stood on high voltage power lines , all sticky-up wigs , sparks and dust , staggeering from the wreckage of the old site - , I had chance to catch up on some old films an' that .
In doing so , I got to thinking about stuff . Primarily , how Ingrid Bergman , and of course , Marilyn Munroe , for example , would've looked with their , " kit off " ???
These chicks were HOT !!! No [Poor language removed] . Me Grandda' had a point , after all .
Anyway , - and I realise that this will probably be for those , " of an age " but , - who would you put in your Top 3 oldies ??? Anyone , actually , given our respective age-range , but especially Black N' White'rs .
My own ; In reverse order ;
3 ; Audrey Hepburn ; Holly Golightly . One of Cinema's authentic Iconic images . Fit , with a Capital " F ". Classy too , but certainly yummy .
2 ; Ingrid Bergman ; The Queen of the Silver Screen . At the time of Casablanca , she was undoubtably the most beautiful woman on God's Great Earth . If yoiu're wondering how she would've looked sans attire , check Blue Velvet . isabella is THE IMAGE of her . A TRUE hottie .
1 ; A left - field choice , perhaps , but it's gotta be Ginger Rogers . This woman had it all . Was gorgeous , talented - sing / dance / act - a genuine World Star , and also the first high profile unmarried Mum . she also had a glint in her eye that was utterly disarming , and proper sassy . Right now , she'd be Beyonce Knowles . She was that good , and THAT fit .
Honourable mentions for Rita Hayworth and Sofia Loren , per me . What say yous ???
Next time you pull a sickie , or are on holiday , you may look at those arl movies in a whole new light .
