Horse Racing

Arrogate runs again on Saturday, after losing badly last time out at 1/9 odds on.

You can forgive any horse 1 bad race, but if he doesn't perform this time out then wouldn't surprise me if he was retired.

EW thievery if it stays at 8 runners, and possibly even if it goes down to 7-5.

Don't know if anyone has seen the video of yesterday's racing. Davy Russell one of the most experienced and well known jockey punching his horse pre race. One of the most shocking things I've seen in racing and totally unexpected from him. Things like this give the animal activists and grand national haters more of a reason to moan.

Shame on you Davy you cretin.

Haven't seen it mate, not sure I want to, but from your comment and other comments I read yesterday it sounds cruel.
Hope justice prevails

Just found this, ban him for life, absolute dog of a man.

Probably a few weeks' ban imo.
Punching your horse isn't cool, but "ban for life" is a bit OTT.. it's hardly a Tiger Uppercut.
Sometimes horse are a bit wild and need to be strongarmed a bit and shown that the jockey is in charge.

Anyways.. YORK meeting this week. One of the highlights of the flat calendar.

And Arrogate got beaten again!

Nothing worse than animal cruelty, he shouldn't be let anywhere near a horse again.
