Wow.
i think they're just buzzing off this thread to be fair. Wouldn't you?
Why would you buzz off a racist allegation not having enough evidence to be proven. In what way is it a win, if you're not a racist? Strange.

This has gotten out of hand.
"Special breeds of vermin", mocking them for not winning anything when we have won SFA ourselves for 23 years, abusing an ex-player over a career ending injury, foamimg at the mouth about comments on social media.
Utter kopite behaviour. The safety of the internet eh. Embarrassing.
This is better if you read it in the voice of Rafael Benitez presenting a dossier .Fact: the FA have stated the evidence is insufficient to proceed to a charge, that is not the same as saying there is no evidence. Correct
Fact: the FA have underlined that Holgate was entirely justified to want his claim investigated and they found he was not wasting their time. Correct
Fact: the FA statement is worded in a way that it emphasises no one is being 'cleared' of anything. Incorrect. It emphasises nothing of the sort. It That's just your assumption reinforced by your overwhelming confirmation bias. He has been investigated for something where the lack of evidence leads them to a conclusion there is not enough of it to proceed with a charge.
Oh my goodness.

No. The conclusion that could have been reached was 'no evidence to suggest racist slurs used'. They didn't do that. They stated 'insufficient evidence'.
As for my conspiracy theories: it seems it's one shared by our friends across the park, as they also see this case as very much still open to conjecture.
If the tweets can be proved as malicious you can report them to the authorities. A bit like Davek calling Firminho a Neo Nazi will probably be of interest to Firminho's lawyers. Anyone who says Holgate should be banned is a blert same as anyone who calls somebody a racist with no CONCRETE evidence.I know mate I don't quite know how to react to that, do I get into a slanging match because they have said stuff that can make me look bad, or do I just swerve twitter entirely (deactivate it and look suspect), or do I ignore it
do these people not realise a footballer may get a ban and a telling off, but start slinging that round in real life and you can ruin peoples lives
utter scum
You have! You've called Firmino a racist on several occasions on this thread. Terms like "saved from a charge" are so biased, also. No, I haven't said that at all. I said that Holgate gets my support 100%.
Firmino has been saved from a charge by virtue of the fact that the the FA believe the balance of evidence is not there. That is as far as any "exoneration" of Firmino can or will go. The suspicion is very much in play that he said something that hasn't been able to be verified as the particular word Holgate believed it to be.
Anyway, this is a a cold case claim and cant now be won until such a time as more evidence becomes available. It's open but is cold.
A claim isn't evidence. Claims require reason and evidence to support them. How could they possibly of said 'no evidence to suggest racist slurs used' when it is absolutely clear from the TV footage that Mason alleged that Firmino used the 'N' word. If they had you would of accused the FA of a cover up. There was evidence, the evidence was Mason's allegation. The reason it was insufficient is because no one else corroborated it.
Please show me evidence of our friends across the park as you now call them agreeing with your theory that other footage showed Firmino using a racist term. Put up or shut up.

Your welcome.
Ha ha.*slams fist on desk in pure irritation.

I think it'll be telling how Holgate reacts before the derby. Handshake or no.As soon as Mason makes a statement it is then viewed as evidence. The TV footage of Mason claiming he had been racially abused is evidence.
The 11 other statements taken by the FA, the rest of the TV footage and the evidence given by the language experts did not back up the evidence given by Mason so it was deemed that there was insufficient evidence.
That should be the end of it but knowing you Dave you will come up with another 'theory' to back up the conclusion you initially jumped to with such glee.
I dont need any theories mate, I just stick to the facts. So do many Liverpool supporters too, which is why they're still fuming that the suspicion of racism still hangs over Firmino with this FA statement. As soon as Mason makes a statement it is then viewed as evidence. The TV footage of Mason claiming he had been racially abused is evidence.

Imagine if this was on tele these days!
