Oh good god. I like Moyes, but he is a crawling maggot compared to Kendall!
I was there through the 80's & Kendall made us into the best team in the world. What more can anybody ask?

There is no comparison. HK was a great a winning player for us and a great and winning manager. He deserves respect and to be listened to......

That's all well and good if we're home to Crawley Town, but Moyes needlessly tore apart the cohesion of the side that had us off to our best league start in years. One or two changes, sure, but six is a momentum-stopper and I don't care who you put in there. Especially at a tough place to win at like Elland Road. I'd have rather he made more changes for Southampton and started basically the same squad that tore Swansea apart.

Why is Leeds a tougher place than Crawley???? Both would be up for it just as much. And it was only 3 major changes; Gueye, Junior and Oviedo. All the others have played some part this season, and Mucha normally starts LC matches.

Why can't people just accept that Leeds wanted it more.

If we get some injuries then it is probable that team could start a PL game; maybe with the exception of Junior

Don't understand putting the weakened side out, no, it's not as if our fixture list is that crowded at the moment.

It doesn't have to be resting senior players so much as the desire give the squad players a taste of first team football. Let them play their way into his plans.

If that's the point of the competition, so be it. I don't think it is or should be.

I always feel part of the problem with Moyes is he's so determined to prove he's his own man.

Which is fair enough except his method seems to involve aping everything ferguson does including the resting your squad jiggery pokery.

Utd, Chelsea, City and Arsenal I understand because they've bigger fish to fry - but us??

Just plain dumb.

It wasn't just 3 major changes because he also set the team up differently. Fellaini dropped back to defensive midfield and Neville went bact to right-back. Ther was no obvious cover for Oviedo when he went forward - I saw Anichebe and Gueye filling in there at different times. The overall impact on team formation was greater than the sum of the changes.

Having said that, Leeds got lucky with the opening goal when Fellaini's tackle bounced off White and wrong-footed Distin, so Mucha had no chance. Naismith was the player who had a real shocker and lessened our chances of getting back into it. I felt really sorry for Junior, he didn't get much help from the more senior players, but he is lightweight and it was probably the wrong game to play him.

Yeah. What does Kendall know about football?
You couldn't make it up

I f Moyes wins even 1/3 of what HK won, maybe just maybe i'll call him a modern day great. He shouldn't be mentioned in the same category as HK he has not earned that right yet.

there will never be another H K ,

We laugh at the kopites but I can't believe they'd ever simply disregard or dismiss the opinions a great player who was their greatest ever manager . I'm struggling to think of any other team could do it whilst so many worship a (albeit a very good manager) who has yet to win a trophy.

Madness for me if I'm honest

He's the Evertonian Alex Ferguson, restoring us to our perch whilst Liverpool were European Champions. Only, unlike Ferguson, Howard had/has tremendous style and grace. It was a privilege for such a man to represent Everton.

Respect your opinion sheeds but would you have him back? he's roughly the same age as Fabio Capellpo, rednkapp, warnock, wenger, sven goran eriksson, guus hiddink and roy hodgson. He is considerably younger than Alex Ferguson.

Personally, I wouldn't and no decent side has since HK was 52.

:o

Our most successful manager ever , in his first spell he never really excelled in the 'winning the 7th place cup' but he did however win 2 league titles, the FA CUP & the ECWC (our only ever European trophy) , he was robbed of his chance to win the European cup and given that moyes gets credit for losing a cup final there is a host of them as well. The RS might obsess over their former heroes but how a man who achieved what Howard did for everton gets dismissed quite so easily is staggering not to mention giving me and many others some of the greatest days of our lives.

Times have changed and I'm not belittling moyes achievements but Howard still deserves at the very very least our utmost respect? On my time here you seem a good poster mate but are you saying you can have an opinion and I can but Howard's opinion is no more valid ? I dislike players & managers who play the 'show us your medals ' card but surely he's earned that right at this club at least.
