Henry on sky

i'm Irish too and i think calling him a cheat for what he did against us or somehow tarnishing his entire career beacuse of it, is ridiculous. Using the same logic 99% of the players in the prem could be called cheats. Week in, week out players are diving or claiming throw ins and corners that they know aren't theirs. Cant remember too many examples of players owning up to a ref when they have mad an incorrect decision in their favor (Di Canio is the only one i can remember). Henry was one of the best

Behave lad.

He'll be remembered as one of the greatest forwards of all time, no hand ball against a no-mark team like Ireland will change that.

This really. While probably remembered for the handball in Ireland, he'll be remembered in the rest of the world as one of the top strikers of all time.

It was the faux commiserating with Richard Dunne in the centre circle after the match that sticks in my craw. Still, that goal he scored against Utd when he flicks it up and smashes it in was class.

Whether you like it or not, when I and many others think of Henry, it's this: astonishing player, cheated an entire country.

And I'm not Irish.

Google "Thierry Henry is a" and see what it predicts as the top result.

Its amazing how many times it happens.
First thing you think about when Rivaldo is mentioned? For me, its the hands to the face rolling around on the floor.
First thing you think about when Maradonna is mentioned? Handball?
Suarez... well that's tricky due to the sheer number of cheats, could be multiple choice but outside of England will likely be the handball against Ghana
Zidane... Awesome headbutt

Whereas Bergkamp's first thought for me is about that amzing goal he controls on the volley, lobs the defender then hits it again on the volley.
If you don't do something embarassingly out of order, and then not feel bad about doing it, then you get remembered on merit, otherwise you run a real risk of being remembered most for a single infamous moment.

First thing I think of when Henry is mentioned is the flick and volley against Barthez at Highbury.

Only one way to settle this really. Put a poll up.

He did say nice things about us, but what was he wearing? It´s difficult for a man that handsome to look so uncool, but he managed it.

Very skilful player yet that was not enough, he would anything to get the result - without doubt a disgraceful cheat and all the pundits backed away from tackling him.
