Well it’s quite likely that any or all of Gana, Tim or Charlie will be off.Odd that we are allegedly buying a central midfielder when Garner is playing quite well in that very position. Possibly the position we least need to strengthen?

At certain times of the season you would not have guessed it by looking at the performanceYou know we play with more than one right???
Rumour on here is that we are looking at the DM from Sporting LisbonI think this gets done - i like him as a player and its a bit of a no brainer of a deal, given the value.
But I'm not sure it would have been a priority for me.
I think we're already stacked with young "no 8" type young midfielders.
If I'm honest i would have prioritised a defensive ball winning midfielder or a bit of athletic presence to anchor the midfield and screen the back four that what i think we need to progress the midfield and improve the squad.
Maybe we will get that also.
You think Tim and Carlos are not good?
You sound like Moyes.
Don't know a lot about Hackney but from what I have seen he's not really a ball winner like Gana or Tim he does seem to play a similar way to Garner though. It's just an observation though not worth some of the other posters heads falling off.I actually think we need more quality in central midfield.
Gana is 37/38
Tim is Hot and Cold
Armstrong is still a baby.
We've got bodies but not the right ones.
Exactly which makes it an odd choice. We need so many players it's odd to go for a central midfielder as our first target.I think it maybe more the player we are prioritising rather than a position we are prioritising - as in, we know who we want by the end of the window, (and who is likely to leave), he is on that list and is available now, whereas other positions are seen as a higher priority but the first choice players we want for those are not available, yet.
That might make agreeing a fee tricky - as there is no point 'paying what they want, to get it done' if it limits our budget for higher priority positions later in the window.
Garner will be RB.Odd that we are allegedly buying a central midfielder when Garner is playing quite well in that very position. Possibly the position we least need to strengthen?
Sadly we never seem to have a structure or a plan -Exactly which makes it an odd choice. We need so many players it's odd to go for a central midfielder as our first target.
