Me sister who works in a care home said she has lost all smell and taste. I believe they are some symptoms of it, but she said she has no other symptoms and feels absolute spot on. Considering the care home has loads of cases and already had two deaths it is alarming.

My girlfriend is a nurse and got a high temp, cough (nothing major) and loss of taste and smell on Wed. Got tested Thurs and results came back positive. If your sister has lost all smell and taste I'd think it's pretty nailed that she's got it.

I've got a cough and bit of a sore throat but temp is fine and no other symptoms.

It's so crazy how it affects people so differently.

Casual friend/acquaintance who I see at racing regularly died , his wife was quite ill but recovered .

my neighbour was unwell after returning from Cheltenham and confined to bed but wasn’t tested, he wife who is asthmatic subsequently was a lot sicker and ended up in hospital for about 10/11 days although was never on a ventilator and his home now and recovering well . Confirmed as covid .

two friends who are key workers confirmed as testing positive but experienced only fairly minor symptoms.

my last remaining auntie has passed away in a care home, suspected to be covid but I have no futher details at this stage and I don’t know if I will get any more . No funeral to be held , direct cremation at this time .

quite a lot of friends and associates with varying symptoms who Think they might have had it but haven’t been tested.

Crumbs :(

yeah.

In reality it probably reads more dramatic than it is In fairness but when you lay it out in bullet points it looks like a lot .

It certainly translates as hard to believe 5-10% of the population being infected but I’d imagine places like Liverpool being considerably worse than villages in Suffolk and also the racing /Cheltenham connection could shift the numbers .

Still seems pretty dramatic to be fair. How are you holding up?

Dont think many are saying "its the flu". No one sane or not a Trump supporter anyrate.

Its just that the symptoms seem to get wider each week, and as a result, plenty are remembering that they felt rough as a badgers a few months back; ergo, "have I had it?".

Like someone who was, or is, 98 survived it, but some 10, 20 and 30 year olds have perished. Sommet doesnt add up to a lot of folk.
I'd like to know how many people have actually had a feel of a badgers arse. How rough is it really? How does it compare to other mammalian quadrapeds? What about when you throw bear's arses into the equation? Is one rougher than the other? Is this just recieved wisdom and harsh on badgers?

You sound like a right pervert, mate.

A professor over here was recently interviewed and said there are currently 4 or 5 different corona viruses circling the globe at the moment (obviously less harmful than Covid 19). It could be a lot of people were affected by one of those too. I think I also read somewhere that a lot of common colds are caused by different corona viruses.

Loads of posters mentioned feeling off colour November to January time in the main thread.

Was quite odd that we all felt it felt different to a normal winter bug.

And noticed a lot of these diagnoses were made in march and april. Not saying all are, but people are generally narcissistic.

For what it's worth, I do hope they all had it, and are now immune. Just the amount of people telling me they had the worst cold ever this winter doesn't add up when you see how areas hit by it, like NYC, deaths have jumped through the roof right around the first diagnosed case.

Simply the data doesn't support that this had been going around in november and people we just surviving it

I hope your sister is doing well and financially this is plausible, but if this is the case she needs to stay home from work if she isn't already.

I keep telling my missus this but she remains convinced she had it.
