Current Affairs Have you had confirmed Covid-19?

My poll choice: Not me, but family. My 88-year old Granddad from Hull has it. Had aided breathing but seems to be doing ok. Fingers crossed x

Sadly, on Sunday morning, barely 24 hours after I posted this, my Granddad passed away. It was peaceful and he showed no Covid-19 symptoms. But I understand he will go into the statistics as a Covid death (according to a comment made to family).

I felt very rough a few weeks ago although showed no temperature or cough, so I'm not sure. I do know a few friends and colleagues who've had it and recovered.

Sadly, I know of four people (loose connection to me personally) who have actually died it from it.

One of my sisters in-laws has confirmed her father in law has sadly passed away of Covid 19.

Didn’t know him at all but I’m told he was an old boy who didn’t like to stay in doors and rode buses everywhere.

He also didn’t take this virus seriously either so I guess that a lesson for us all.

Just been told my uncle age 70+ who has Alzheimer's is now in hospital with covid. Not on a ventilator. Caught it in a care home sadly.

My uncle has returned to his care home, which is excellently run by the way, only to find that 4 residents have died in the two weeks he was away of suspected covid. My cousin upon speaking to carehome managers has found that doctors are refusing to visit homes now not wanting to catch the virtus and are also refusing to go to write death certificates... Unbelievable.
