Have foreign players been given a fair crack under Moyes compared to British ones

You have to say anybody not selected ahead of the likes of Neville and Hibbert has been unfairly treated, foreign or not.

Moyes should only sign players who do the 'holy' crossing themselves, Christian, head, heart, shoulders touchy thing when they enter the field.

If you look at players who dont speak english as their first language, I think most of them can feel very hard done by considering the amount of patience moyes shows the british/english players.

Bilyiletdinov - told moyes he wasn't a left sided midfield wing player.
Heitinga - player of the year then dropped first game of season.
Vellios - where has he gone?
Gueye - plays fantastic at sunderland in a massive game then gets dropped and not seen again.
Jelavic - needs support up front and is getting none. its still 2 vs 1.
Mirallas - Moyes is criticizing him for not tracking back and has picked naysmith over him a few times away from home.
Oviedo - what was the point? Has ability but not given the opportunity.
Stracqularsi - he gave his absolute all and the fans respected him. give him an english name and he would have been signed.

I would add VDM and Drenthe to that list.

The two most naturally gifted players we have had since Wayne left but Moyes hasdn't a clue how to get the best out of them.

Aye, the OP's idea isn't that far-fetched and even if just a little true it nowhere-near makes Moyes a racist, or even prejudiced. It just makes him limited (which he has proven to be).

Really, it's not a rotten thing to prefer native speakers in a job if you're the boss. It's quite common, actually. It's to make the boss feel more comfortable, feel he can trust his inner-team. It just means he's missing out on a certain kind of progress because of his inability to communicate adaptively (amazingly, Fergie as hardcore glaswegian as he is is a master at making sure his players all speak the same language...just one more reason why he's one of the true greats of managers).

Racism and prejudice is a whole other level, tho'. Racism is when you're using appearance to actively impact negatively on someone. Prejudice is when you're using cultural-background to do same. Moyes is just limited, so some foreign players are outside of his communicative abilities.

Having some foreigners in our coaching setup would help...but it's all old boys' club.

No they aren't.

Blooming good players, those two.

But Moyes didn't know how to bring the best out of them.

Not sure you understand.

I did not question their ability, i said they were utter bulbs. Which they were, both have admitted as much. How can somebody play a guy who turns up to training stinking of booze ?
