Harry Maguire arrested...

I couldn't care less whether he is guilty or not. What bothers me most is the fact that a highly paid professional sports person, who's career depends on physical fitness, is prepared to go on an alcoholic bender over several days.
The damage to his system must be enormous And the MU fitness coaches must be furious.
But not a word of criticism from the management, either club or national.

I think you're maybe overstating what a few days on the beer does to the human body.

Damage to his system would not be "enormous" consider nearly every football player gets boozy in the off-season.

That very much depends on their background and culture.

You sir, need a badge for your crusade.

Tbf I do actually believe him to an extent. If they were plain clothes officers, he’s had a few bevvies and doesn’t speak Greek, it would definitely be pretty frightening. You have to wonder why they targeted him in the first place, mind.
I reckon he was so wasted that he cant remember what went on. The bit about his sister keeps changing too. Was she stabbed or not? Was she drugged or not? How did she recover so quickly? I've heard a few versions of the story all seeming to stem from his camp.

Anyone, with half a brain don't mess with police in particular the Greek, they were milatray dictatorship well within living memory and have slowly moved into democracy so there has no purge of persons in key positions as such...

Remember a neighbour of mine getting himself and with others arrested for plane spotting, and did time, he was a proper nerd.

Have no sympathy for Maguire and how he has conducted himself since arrest nothing but cowardly and full of entitlement.

Alcohol is poison which the body is much better without. Particularly that of a professional athlete.
In moderation it has no major impact on athletes - especially if it’s the off-season and the body has time to ‘repair’ which it’s designed to do. It’s a far cry from Robin Friday or George Best partying late with strippers and then getting up the next day to play a match.
