It’s not valid to say someone is lying based on nothingNo a proven opinion is a fact. A valid opinion is something that has credibility.
For example, believing the earth is flat isn't a valid opinion.

He deserved to be sacked for the way he shouts over people, including his co-presenter. He can often be somewhat effective but it's not worth the trade off. He's clearly a very arrogant, rude person. So if he were sacked for his behaviour over a consistent period of time, fine.
That said, being sacked for not automatically believing what someone says with little to no corroborating evidence is ridiculous IMO.
If people disagree with him, argue back and say why he's wrong. Debate him. But that doesn't happen anymore - instead it's a constant "cancel anyone who doesn't fit the narrative" routine.
At least you’ll have something you enjoy watchinghe hasn't been sacked by the way, he's walked. He'll walk straight to GB news and take millions of viewers with him.
Indeed.
Loads of reasons to sack him. Believing Meghan is a liar isn't one of them in my eyes. She's put herself out in public for critique - she has no automatic right to be believed solely because she's said something out loud.
Replacing Troopz on Arsenal Fan TVWalkout was staged with stuff like this in mind...GB TV or UK TV awaits him....right wing propaganda units.
neither is validIt's as valid as saying she's telling the truth based on nothing.
how you gonna debate a guy who doesn’t let you speak and shouts over you whilst also having the power to end the interview as soon as it starts getting uncomfortable for themselves (as we saw today)
this isn’t an e ample of cancel culture either, the guys literally going to walk straight into another extremely well paid job In the public eye. Cancel culture is the most overhyped play the victim BS going at the moment.
he’s not been sacked for believing or not believing something. He’s been sacked for publicly broadcasting his opinion, that someone’s claim about their own mental health is a lie, which is something he cannot possibly know. And broadcasting it on a channel running mental health campaigns about the importance of talking about mental health. It’s massively irresponsible, and flies in the face of the channel’s own position on the topic.
By that logic you don't believe people unless you have a valid reason either.neither is valid
That’s why we don’t call people liars unless we have a reason to, a valid reason
Traditionally we call it the benefit of the doubtBy that logic you don't believe people unless you have a valid reason either.
Traditionally we call it the benefit of the doubt
If there’s a criminal accusation he should have his day in court, and have the benefit of doubt in that processI guess we should all believe Prince Andrew about Pizza Express and not sweating then.
He can't possibly know she's telling the truth either.
No one can.
What about calling out a co-presenter for wearing a 'short skirt' and making her stand up and show it on air when she very clearly didn't want to?
