I know from first hand experience that bringing in someone from a foreign country, not having their friends/family around like they used to can cause deep depression. My wife hasn't thought of suicide (as far as I know) but has had serious bouts of being utterly miserable with her situation.

The reason for not just upping sticks straight away is that we always 'give it time' to see if you still feel that way in a week/month/year. It probably took a while to build up and when she became enemy no.1 in the papers the die was cast. You got to think Harry would have probably been dragging his heels as long as possible too.

One thing I will agree on is thinking about suicide and actually going ahead and doing it is completely different. So I doubt she would have ever acted on it but she probably thought about it believing it was her only way out until Harry decided to hack the whole lot in for her.

Right, and using that time to set up their own personal brand and attempting to negotiate staying 'half in' to the evil institution that made Meghan suicidal... all the while not thinking for a moment about money of course.

It just doesn't tally mate.

Couldn’t give two hoots about the royal family, but it does make me uncomfortable when a young pregnant woman says she’s had suicidal thoughts and the response of many people who don’t know her, and can’t possibly have any knowledge of her mental state, is to immediately jump to calling her a self-serving liar.
