They're a tourist attraction. Nothing more. Quite a few countries have the same thing. A relic of a bygone age that has no bearing on everyday life beyond tabloid fodder.
They're a net gain on our economy allegedly so while that remains the case, they can stay. If they're not, they can be binned.
And of course they're pretty much all racist. About 99% of upper class people are.

I don't get the hatred of them. I don't get the love-in for them.
Doesn't change what I think of Harry and Meghan. I'm happy for them to go and do whatever they want, good on them. I think she was treated very unfairly and there's clearly racial connotations for that which are right to have been called out. Doesn't also mean it's not hypocritical to say you don't want publicity, and then go and do a 3-hour Oprah interview. Again, though, if that's what they want to do, so be it.

Also they talk about needing money for security as if Harry has been working at Asda for the past 10 years as a shelf stacker and Meghan is a carer in a nursing home. Meghan was a big tv star before she even met Harry.
Yeah, probably a bad example. Was just off the top of my head.
