I’m a relatively wealthy white heterosexual white male I fail to understand why so many people seem obsessed that we’re a discriminated or oppressed minority. I started out as a working class which was admittedly not as easy but being white certainly isn’t oppressed , why do people want it to be ? Puzzles the life out of me

Not sure if I am reading your reply incorrectly, so if I have ignore the following:-

Are you implying that I am claiming white men are oppressed? If you are, then you have misunderstood. I am not saying that at all.

You might want to put down the reading sheet and respond to the things people actually say to you. All you're conveying so far is Resentful White Guy™ brand talking points. It doesn't inspire a person to speak to you as if you have serious or even thought-through concerns.

So if I may indulge cliche of my own choosing: To the traditionally privileged, equality feels like oppression.

Marrying into the royal family now looks like a career move. I believe that to be a gold digger move. That’s it. I don’t need to show any individual incidents. There is also the hypocrisy of both of them –Save the planet whilst we fly about in private jets. That doesn’t help their image at all. William and Kate were using EasyJet. There is a bit of a difference.

If they want to disappear, that’s up to them. Good luck to them. I’m really not that interested in what they do.

My point here is that this is not racism. Skin colour has no impact here. Racism would have been if there had been objections to her marrying into the royal family because of the colour of skin etc. That didn’t happen though.
