That's a distinction without a difference.

Do you want fairness or do you want "fairness" that doesn't eliminate the artificial advantages white guys have enjoyed for generations and which continues giving them a starting position leagues ahead of traditionally less advantaged people?

There's a difference between benefitting from a system, and purposely denying others from benefitting from the same system. Especially when probably more than 90% of them weren't even consciously aware that there was a system.

The system was unfair to the non whites of yesteryear and I admit I was a beneficiary of that. But the system is now unfair to whites in their teens, 20s and 30s, some of whom have families, and many of whom did not benefit from their parents having privileged lives and are, in effect, starting from scratch like so many non whites.

You can't change what has happened in the past. In my opinion all you can do is make sure you get it right going forward and that means having targets/quotas based on current demographics. That's fair. Eventually the imbalance will be sorted but it will take time. To expedite it, which is what current society Is demanding, involves discriminating against 1 social group which is also wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right. All discrimination is wrong and anybody who doesn't recognise that is a hypocrite.

They are becoming a bit of a pain now. When they said they wanted to stand down most people said good luck with your new life. Now however they seem to want their cake and eat it. They want all of the titles without actually doing anything, expect to make many millions just for being who they are, and also demand ‘Royal’ protection. If they really want out, then drop the titles, become what they want, but don’t do it on the back of an institution that they do not wish to be part of. Very sad really.....

As nobody can Own a word...bit like the rs wanting to copyright the word and colour red...maybe in the UK, but in the main target market The US - Nah.

the royal bit is a total different discussion but the protection is something I’d say theyre entitled to . Or are you suggesting by stepping away from the royal family he’s not longer a target for those that would seek to attack or damage the country ? By an accident of birth Harry is a target and always will be exacerbated by his genuine military service . I’m my opinion Whatever else happens he’s entitled to maintain the protection he currently receives , I can’t see any legitimate argument against it .

I blame the press, they don't actually need to report their statement's, however, I suppose they sell them lots of papers, so it's win win chicken dinner.
