But how often are we 3 up? Like, he has a massive future with us, I’m just concerned that in a few games time we have numbers back again and then have 6 players ahead of him in the midfield again. (Garner, gana, Tim, Rohl, KDH, Alcaraz) which is where we were at the summer when it was deemed he wouldn’t get enough minutes.

Just don’t want him to end up sitting on our bench barely getting a sniff after the next 4 games which I doubt he starts in. (Maybe starts vs Sunderland in the cup).

The way I look at it, we're Everton and we're constantly getting injuries. Look at it once Ndiaye left, Grealish gets ill, Alcaraz injured and then suddenly we're down to bare bones. This Sunday we could have been looking at suspensions for Garner, Mykolenko and Tarkwoski.

I'd rather have someone on the bench who has more chance of getting minutes than the likes of Welch, Campbell and King.

Could just get lucky with him coming back and he stays with us the rest of the season. The lad does have talent and now with abit of confidence in the squad now. He could really kick on looks good on the ball and feel could work in that mid 3 to give us another option to see out games when tired legs in there

Exactly what I was thinking, added to the afcon players missing it makes sense to get Armstrong back.

Hope he can do well for us and himself if he gets a chance and any minutes.
