He obviously isn’t but Moyes seems to prioritise what a 10 or attacking midfielder does off the ball rather than what they do on the ball. He’s such a coward.

Little lost today. Fitted perfectly in a more general “midfielder” role last week.
Very possible slight argument that it’s tricky playing with Gana. One minute he is sitting, trying to conduct play from one side to the other, then he’ll pounce forward to win a ball, often does, but if it bypasses him we are wide open. He’s all over the pitch, which is great, but he might not be the most communicative.
Garner has been immense in his absence and really commanded things.
The young lads last week worked brilliantly together on and off the ball.
Not worried at all for Armstrong. By next season he’ll hopefully get given a role to maximise what he can do. The years of plonking Gana and Garner on the team sheet and A N Other are coming to an end.

We played a 4-3-2-1, so he was more a left sided 8 really.
It's also not 1970 and we can just say attacking midfielder.
He has a lot of potential and I think he will go on to be a good player for us

Young player doing young player things. Poor game but the entire team was shocking first half. If I were Moyes I would have subbed Gana way before Armstrong, but that said we got a draw in the end so it is what it is. If Armstrong finishes the rest of the season with us starting and subbing in some games he will learn a lot and be ready for next season which might be hugely important

In a way, Villa away is actually an easier game for a young lad than tonight. As a young player, you know you've got to work hard and put yourself about in those types of games. Need to show a bit more against Leeds at home and he just couldn't get going. Weren't the only one.
More worried about DMs team selection & placing Patterson on the wing TBH .... can see us three at the back in future - oh Keane has to be shoe horned in so 4 CH at the back .....
