2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

….you keep on mentioning Catterick & Colin Harvey and it’s a bit of a nonsense.

I’m also an old bloke but I recognise how totally different the ‘60s were to modern day, indeed I’m not even sure if the loan system was a thing back then. We also had a conveyer belt of local talent, most teams brought youngsters through it just wasn’t a global game back then and football was all we played as kids.

We won a Youth Cup in ‘65 and from memory, Catterick only brought Hurst and Husband through from the crop. It’s just not an era to compare with now but I know you continually like to
DM would still send into days game CH out on loan as he showed erratic form when he first hit the first team - CH admitted he learnt a lot of Bally - Harry Catterick did not just use local players he purchased them Jimmy Husband was from the North East Newcastle area & don't preach to me about our youth team FA Cup win - seen almost every game -

Yes was yes its different era very clever of you to spot that - please do not patronise me - we must have the oldest team in the prem under DM - next club - West Ham .....

Yes you played for the reds over the park in a youth set up or the ABC teams - but I am disappointed with that response -
right Catterick in that 1970s team that won the league - Tommy Wright RIP - Colin Harvey - John Hurst Purchased as a youth player from Blackpool - Brian Labone a local lad - Jimmy Husband - Joe Royle - add squad players to that who played vital roles & got medals - Alan Whittle - a local Lad - Roger Kenyon a local lad but signed from Blackpool youth -

* home grown apart from Labone all youth players Eight players in that season - Roger Kenyon went on to captain EFC team later - as Labone wound down with injuries ... add to that a bargain winger from LFC Morrissey or 10 Grand - our two big spends were Ball & Kendall & Brown - Newton close to the very end of the season & he was a dud ....Not much of a lay out for a team that won the league ....

The era is that if in the future HA does shine we will lose him anyway to a club with silly money where PSR is overlooked for them .....

My point is font waste him as he will probably get snapped up in the future ... but PNE need him .....

Too young ? Joe Royle played at Wembley in a FA Cup final aged 19 years old ....

Top teams would send HA out on loan .....

Craziest thread going, and yet so much room for progress.

Joey has single handedly upset the whole of Preston..

He even responds to a thread that only consists of an emoji

10 days left to know the true fate of this lad, and the next turn on the thread..
I upset them when I did my Horticultural training - they wanted me to give my job up & do a HND horticultural national diploma - stuff that I had a good wage & I did not want to become a bookworm - I made the correct decision - Why should PNE get HA for a season ??????

How you link such random things in the same post is beyond me..

You really are a "National Icon" Joey.
Jersey should be proud..👨‍🌾

….not sure that impacts the decision, he was involved in a relegation battle with Derby last season.
No, his mind will already be made up.
But it could cause carnage in the fanbase..

I think he's done his time on loan now, the quality around him now will play a bigger impact in his growth than heading back.

He cant of done more than he has to show Moyes his value.

The decision could have been left to Armstrong..

….its the same for any move, i’m sure Armstrong will say if he doesn’t want to go. It’ll come down to what’s best for the player in respect of game time.

I think it’s fair to say, KDH & Garner will start every game which leaves one place for Armstrong, Iroegbunam, Gueye, Rohl and even Alcaraz.

It’ll certainly be a vote of confidence if he keeps Armstrong but I don’t think it’ll cause ‘carnage’ if he goes to PNE, with the exception of Joey 😄
