He’s been great and he’s probably been great because of his time at Preston (and Derby). The lad still has to develop some more to be what we all want him to be but we got to see a glimpse of a potentially fantastic player in an Everton shirt. I’m thrilled for him and want him to get even better.

The man who doesn’t give youth a chance, has given debuts to more Everton teenagers than any manager in our PL history and in terms of PL history has not only the youngest PL goalscorer of all time, but 3 in the top 20.

That was the best midfield trio today for an age - handy to have in the squad not wasted elsewhere - end of - a great team performance- but DM likes changing winning teams?

Very exciting times with this lad, Jimmy G, Tim, KDH and Merlin vying for our midfield spots.

For a while we’ve talked about finding an out and out spoiler to replace Gueye but I think the energy these lads bring can replace that pressure on the ball, and give us much more going forward.
