Watched him in the heat of a tournament for England last summer, when others were wilting he was motoring after 80mins. Never doubted that part of his game today.

Great game today. Bit of snide about him and a great engine. Less obvious talent than Barkley (who had every tool) but much more intelligence which is actually one of the key skills at the top level.
Preston got beat at the weekend - so DM will have an eye on that point after all he wants them in the play offs - get his priorities correct Scottish Numpty ....

It’s hard not to get carried away. He wasn’t heavily involved with the ball but off the ball he looks exceptional already and he just doesn’t let up. His football brain for such a young player is remarkable and when he did get the ball he was efficient, tidy and clever. It’s hard not to get really excited because he is still so young but he already has the smarts that other young kids need to be coached.
Great to see him marshalling others as well, he’s got the lot so it’s easy to forget he’s still such a young kid because there is nothing about him that suggests he’s only 18. I hope he has a brilliant birthday tomorrow!
