2025/26 Harrison Armstrong

Experience mate .... Colin Harvey & Joe Royle got booed in their early days ..... no internet then ....

I have been watching Everton since the late 80's/early 90's. Probably old enough to have a considered opinion on players since the mid to late 90s.

I am just wondering, what level of condescension would I get if I posted my opinion of Armstrong. I suppose we could try it out?

I didn't watch the Sunderland game but he did look decent against Wolves. Looked comfortable trying things, like turning his man, etc, Only saw one game for Preston but he was largely out of the game, but did have a couple of solid involvements in the game.

I think with all players fit and here, a loan back to Preston is not at all a bad thing. There is a value in minutes on the pitch at a decent level.

He should stay as part of a rotation system in the middle of the park - Armstrong, Ireogbunam, Garner, Rohl, Alcaraz, Gueye, Dewsbury-Hall should all take their turn not starting that way we have numerous players match fit and match aware. Add also injuries, slump in form makes it certain he'll get enough game time this season.
 Rubbish
None of this having 'turns' shiz that's for U10s kids teams.
Current form...your last game...were you good or poor, with a side of horses for courses governs selection

'Turns'

Mid 90s we were pants mate .... Event out great FA CUP win - we were fighting relegation as Big Joe had picked up a poison chalice from Mike Walker - sacking Joe & he was sacked by agent Johnson was a big mistake ....
Dogs of war football to get safe - youth team players making the grade in that era - late 90s Francis Jeffers & Michael Ball ? - Any good ones wasted on loan ? like I feel HA is ?

Those mentions of him breaking into the u21s at 16 are a great reminder of how far he’s come in the last two years. He was very much under the radar initially as he was late breaking into the England youth set up and I remember commenting on him as a Schoolboy as being similar in build and style to Isaac Price. Price is slightly different in style, older of course and scoring more goals in the Championship than Armstrong, but Armstrong has the higher ceiling in my view. Both developed fast once they left our u18/21 to play men’s football .
