It will be foolish for a club to think they can restructure, shrink their workforce and increase overall operating profits and performance over a mediocre club. These are just waiting I think, what I find more worrying is the lack of links in the market. Are we simply not trying at all? Kinnear needs to sit for a one on one soon to tell us why there is no activity despite claiming otherwise.

PSR may be a concern or who is prepared to join our club - those performances don't help ..... plus we don't have the European pull either ....

I mean, it's pretty obvious he's got potential. He's an 18-year-old lad who didn't look out of place in the Championship, that's a great level to be at for somebody of that age. However, he's still got a lot to learn, and at this moment in time, it remains only potential he has. But if he's willing to put the work in, then there's every reason to believe he will improve.

It's not daft to suggest he has potential, he's already played at a very high standard for an 18-year-old.

People thought Galloway was a potential England player while he was here. All terrible takes based on no evidence.

Ledson's record at international youth level where he was captaining at various levels and getting into team/squad of the tournament at a couple of major tournaments suggests there was definitely more than 'zero evidence' of his potential to become a very good player.

But I agree with the gist of it that potential in and of itself is meaningless until realised.

I think DM clarified we have the money to spend and by the way the new stadium and the savings in wages we have had, a decent 100mil kitty is to be believed. Question is why are we linked with so few people.

This is what is going to happen.

The struggle is making that cash count with quality. We can lower the bar or raise the bids, Moshiri-style, but is that what people want ?

I think we may have to start making some pragmatic signings and focus on one or two of quality.
