…DCL would be more competitive against those CBs than Kane. It would then be a matter of other players getting on the end of 2nd ball. DCL might have had more of an influence on that game but not particularly from a goalscoring perspective.

Me too. Because I refuse to subscribe to Sky Sports I don't get to see what a great many of others do. But Souness seems short of breath struggling to get his words out. And that panel of Wright and Keane is pure pantomime. Does Keane use that menacing look all the time to spout his drivel?

I would expect that Mings will be dropped for Maguire for Tuesday’s game

I noticed this morning that the Leeds fans were going into hyperdrive on Twitter about Bamford again actually thinking he’s better than Kane and that he should have gone (he shouldn’t imo)

Scotland are a very decent team when they are allowed to come out to play, unlike the game against Czech Republic when the manager kept the shackles on. Out played the Netherlands and England in the last month. I'll take league one standard if this is it.

There's no doubt that Kane is a top player and goal-scorer, but he was obviously unfit to play last night and shouldn't have started the second half. To bring on Rashford as his sub though? Insane unless the game plan was to play out a goal-less draw, in which case job well done, drinks all round

Kane, Rashford and Sterling are all out of sorts at the moment. I think we can only get away with having one of them on at any one time.

Third place gives us the easiest route to the semis. So a nice 2-0 defeat to the Czechs and either of Scotland or Croatia to win should do the trick.

By that time Southgate will have hopefully clicked that his negative tactics aren't working and starts picking our best players, and Kane gets over whatever it is that's making him play like a dog.
