I thought Scotland played well and they should get through. I just don’t see the point of Kane for England. I’m obviously missing something but for me he appeared static and content with laying off the ball. I don’t hugely rate DCL but Kane has been crap.

Shouldn't have played since the previous game he was just as bad. He's clearly unfit or injured and should be nowhere near the team.

That's why I said the decision to take Kane off for Rashford was shocking.

It reeked of a manager terrified at using a player not from the top six.

He uses them. Just the wrong ones. Mings, rice, Pickford, and Phillips all started. Not getting Grealish on earlier and leaving Sancho, and Dom on the bench was moronic though. The persistence with Sterling and Kane was so bad.

Kane will be in the starting lineup based on his reputation, rather than form or fitness. Southgate doesn't have the balls to leave out a famous name, nor the brains to realise he should.

It's weird with Kane as it's not like he is Bale or Ronaldo and can just create something out of nothing even if he has a terrible game. He still needs someone else to create that chance for him so if he is bad, he is really bad.

There’s multiple champions league winners and several premier league winners in that team, along with CL finalists and multiple Europa League winners.

The players are not the issue. At all.

No, the issue is that this England team is overstacked on wingers and right-backs, but not much quality in midfield or the defence, and it gives a false impression about the actual quality of this side. To be a top international team, you need quality in all 11 positions, like France.

Very disappointed with a draw, we should be putting away rubbish teams like that. We let them have a few chances and wasted our best opportunities, which fortunately didn't come back to bite us. But we should still be putting 2 or 3 past teams like that if we are going to do well in this tournament.

Anyway, Croatia next at home, still possible to finish second in the group
