They've always had one or two amazing players over the years.

The fact their next stars are Brennan Johnson and Neco Williams is probably a bit worrying

Yep the things Speed did so well was;

Make the 2 better players a focal point in our attack.
Setup a solid foundation at the back.
Bring in the other players and get them to buy in and die for that cause.

Problem is the stars are dying and what's left is just mediocre.

Oher than Johnson who I think could turn into a very good player there is absolutely nothing about them which is a great shame.

The FAW have spent the past few years lauding themselves on how good their coaching courses are even though they are constantly giving big name ex (and current) free access to the whole pathway just so they can use their name and generally not doing much for Welsh coaches in Welsh leagues. Grassroots is just the same as it was 5, 6, 10 years ago. Pitches are shocking, attitudes within clubs are really small time, wages are too high so debt is rife within clubs, especially Cymru North & South and when it comes to it, especially in Cymru North teams do the easy thing and get players in from across the border on big money.

There are smaller population nations producing better players more consistently.

Ramsay and Bale should be retired from the Welsh side after this tournament. Not them saying they're retiring, but the coach coming out and saying he's moving on from them. Both of them are pants now.

The standard of the competition, its a shambles. Somehow iirc they've expanded this crap to 48 teams for 2026, theres going to be previous golden boot winners eclipsed in a game or two.
Its rubbish, and the people responsible have flogged the arse out of the game to the extent that it's an open goal.
