Watched the Everton game at the Amsterdam Arena at the weekend superb ground, no bells and whistles, 50,000 odd thousand watch your football and head home, about 20 mins from the city centre.

Very similar to the Kirkby concept - makes you think where we could be if we went ahead with Kirby - if anyone ever been out to it, uts worth a think from that perspective.

I think the transports links to Kirkby would have been about a tenth of whats available for that stadium.

That's the stadium I hope we'll never have!
A roof? No thanks!
Curves? No thanks!
An enormous gap between the stands and the pitch? No thanks!

Kirkby...
The stadium was ok with me!
But the place? No thanks!

Be careful with the grand old lady! Be careful where you wish for!
