That looks like The Reebok stadium. No thanks. I really like the idea of an Ibrox/ Koln style stadium. Dead square looking and that.

Curved roofs are gay.

Lack of standin' areas have reduced capacity & put prices up, plus it's sanitised the atmosphere to the extent you can almost hear the crows cawin' in anfield cemetery, some days.

In my own humble opinion it's ruinin' the game AND hinderin' any redevelopment. That, and of course, the lack of cash/ initiative of the board to procure money to do so. And EFCNIK's spot-on. Curved rooves are gay.

To stay at gp we need to build where the church is and some of the properties on goodison road atleast. Perhaps the council with grant us the power of cpos like they are with the rs.

In my ideal fantasy world i would keep the gwladys and bullens and build a large sweeping stand for the rest. That way we keep our history and the reasons why stadium geeks love gp

I think thats the fans more than anything. Ours can be a curmudgeonly lot at times. Its what makes us us though.

Yeah, but it's not exclusive to us Evertonians, is it? Is it just me, or is it quiter everywhere now? The atmosphere isn't the same it was years ago, more's the pity. Not only that, but you always hear the 'I paid good money for this seat' How do they think I get in ffs? By osmosis?

I like this, when do we get started?

This ?

Here's the actual impact their proposed design would have:

And that would be a completely new stadium, meaning Goodison would be knocked down and all we would gain is an extra 10,000 seats.

Out of interest, if we had a stadium with 50,000 unrestricted view seats, what do you think our average attendance would be?

Our current average is 37,000. Sunderland's current average is 42,000.

If we had no obstructions, and we were playing like how we are right now, then I reckon we would be getting similar attendances to Sunderland.

Why do people still talk about re developing goodison,it wasnt just this board that said it wasn't viable right back as far as Peter Johnson it was said it wasn't viable.
We are truly in a mess as far as a ground goes and what is possibly the biggest stunbling block to getting investment.

let's ground(share) and call it "Goodfield"

Get it :)

*Seriously the situation looks perilous to any possible investor.

Nothing will happen. First GP was getting a £100M+ makeover, then we had Kings Dock (wipes away tears), then the Kirkby debacle. Meanwhile GP looks more and more tired. Fck it, just knock it down and the lads can play in Stanley park and we'll all stand up to watch. The council will have to do something then.....

I do wonder what would happen in the event of GP falling down....
