Why would it be a 'jobs for the boys scenario'? We've picked a top DoF from a club that had a very successful scouting system, who did similarly well at his previous job. Why wouldn't we want to bring in some of those people who made up those teams that were so successful? If you have worked with someone before, and know the qualities they bring and that they're good at their job it seems like a no-brainer to me.

It can still be nepotism and not jobs for the boys though. Working with Brands before will obviously make it easier to get the job but he’s gone out to Fleetwood and earned his stripes. Everton just hire any ex-player they can.
One is basically the definition of the other tho, surely?
