GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Yeah Wyatts definitely winning as it leads to Cena v Wyatt at WM30 and also leads into the impending Shield break-up which again will likely come to a head at WM30.

Batista v Del Rio is so dull. Hopefully it should all finish at EC though thankfully.

Announcers taking the mick out of CM Punk before Raw.

Professional jealousy much?

Punk walked out on the company 3 hours before a tv taping that he was scripted to be a part of.

At the end of the day, Punk is well out of order for doing that. No matter what his frustrations were, no matter how much he felt he should have been used better, or whatever.

At the very least, he should have appeared on Raw, and on the Smackdown the next day if he was booked for that - THEN gone home.

Don't blame the announcers, or anyone in WWE for that matter, for being annoyed at the chants. What exactly are they supposed to do with Punk? Beg him to come back? Give him a WWE title match at WM30 in the main event? What if Daniel Bryan is already planned for that spot? Punk hasn't been very good for months, in fact he hasn't been very good since after the WM29 match with Undertaker, when they turned him face to feud with Heyman. Punk was always better as a heel.

At the end of the day, Punk is a tool for doing that. No matter what his frustrations were, no matter how much he felt he should have been used better, or whatever.

Stone Cold knows better than most about "taking your ball home" and he says that when he did it in 2002 was the biggest regret of his career.

Have no problem with Punk if he wasn't happy and so wanted to leave but they way he did it was poor and as you say, he should have handled it in a much better way.

Proper missing the point. The fans are allowed to cheer for what they want, the announcers have no right to be annoyed at sod all they do. They pay their cheques.

This is the exact problem with WWE right now - they're in this zone where they TELL the fans what they want instead of actually delivering quality, creative storylines and allowing the fans to determine what they want. It's what made the Attitude Era so defining - the feeling of spontaneity and risk-taking.

WWE aren't happy at fans booing Batista either; in fact, they had the guy flipping off fans for daring to have a contrary opinion to what the brand expects. It's pure, utter arrogance - if the creative team have ballsed up and the fans let them know it, it's up to them to change what is happening; it's definitely not up to the fans to bend over to it!

If that's the wrestling you want, you're welcome to it, but it's certainly not for me. I can't blame Punk in the slightest - he's a wrestling fanatic, and he clearly didn't have the heart to perform for such a wayward product so couldn't bring himself to do it. It's exactly the same as one of us walking out of a soul-crushing job when you've taken too much and can no longer perform to the best of your abilities.

As for "what exactly are they supposed to do with Punk"? That's really simple. Nothing. He's left. If he doesn't want to come back, that's the end of the matter. Move on. But ****ging off the fans for expressing an opinion like arrogant bells is ridiculous.

The fans chanting for Punk makes no sense to me

It's not like WWE sacked him. HE walked out

WWE clearly would like him back and Vince is trying to get him back as we speak

Chanting at the shows isn't going to help

They should be chanting for Ziggler as he's still there and if they keep supporting him, WWE may finally have to start pushing him. WWE are going to do their best to Zack Ryder this guy. Eventually, the fans gave up on Ryder and WWE won the battle of wills. The fans have to keep supporting Ziggler, even if he's out there jobbing to Dvaid Otunga in 30 seconds

WWE won in regards to Ryder, the fans need to can the CM Punk chants and win the war in regards to Ziggler

Punk has walked out on an unsatisfactory product, which is what a lot of fans are considering doing. They understand why he did it and empathise with that. Why should he endorse crap like constant part-timer returns for titles and terrible story telling?

This is what you're missing - there shouldn't be a war; the WWE should be automatically catering to their audience, not battling with them.

WWE have been battling their fans for years though. The fan base should be aware

They have to do what's right by the guys still there and get behind guys like Ziggler to the point that WWE have no choice but to push them

Either that or stop buying tickets to the point WWE get desperate and HAVE to listen

It seems what Punk wants is simply what he does deserve and that is a starring role in the company. Remember the promo him and HH did a few years back now and it applies to him walking out. He has got the fans chanting his name, he is selling the merchandise and whatever else. Yet they are burying him under the likes of orton and cena who the fans are clearly sick of the sight of.

He can clearly see what the company are doing to Bryan, and he is getting out before they do it to him. Bryan was given title matches, has gotten over with the fans in a massive way and yet when push comes to shove it is Batista returning that is given the starring role, and before him the rock. Why should be bust his arse for god knows how many weeks on the road if come the end of the day someone walks back into the company and is given much higher stature than the guys who are there every week (cena promo there as well haha)

You have to remember Punk didnt come from a wrestling family, nor was he a failed footballer/bodybuilder/career man. He grew up wrsetling in his own back yard, he worked his backside off to get where he is today and now he is there he can see that the light at the end of the tunnel is getting further away now he was 'pushed' 2 years ago.

100% wrong mate. In any business, the product has to appeal to the consumer; it's been that way since the dawn of time. There's no obligation whatsoever on any fan to cheer a certain way. They can cheer for Dr. Pepper or a pair of curtains if they want; the WWE has no right to lambast them for doing so. The WWE have to provide a compelling product to draw the fans in; if the fans are cheering for a guy not on the card, then the WWE have simply failed to do that.
