So WWE have announced that John Cena will be appearing at the Fast Lane PPV. Why on earth would they do this before the Royal Rumble has taken place?! Maybe they're going pull some sort of Vince Russo style swerve but i think it very unlikely. They've pretty much just given away that Cena won't be winning the Rumble and while I'm eternally greatful for that I cant help but think it was a really poor move to give it away like this.

It's WWE in 2018 we're talking about here. They don't have the kind of foresight to pull a swerve like that. Why would he be on a glorified filler PPV if he was the Royal Rumble winner? Nah, I don't buy it. Id be plesently surprised if they proved me wrong though.

he could win the rumble and appear at the very end of fast lane for a stare down to declare hes challenging aj styles after weeks of speculation over which title he'd be going for despite brock/roman seemingly being obvious

Would be brilliant if WWE did the unthinkable and use the Rumble to have a completely shocking winner that propels a midcarder into the main event scene, simultaneously making the Rumble itself unpredictable for future events.

I doubt it. They wouldn't announce that for a PPV, they'd either keep it quiet and have him come out as a surprise for a big pop or announce it for a random Smackdown. Even if that was the plan they've ruined it by announcing it on advance.

Still calling nakamura to win the rumble.

With fastlane being a raw ppv that's where their number one contender will come from. Therefore smackdown win the rumble, and nakamura is the obvious choice as it was mooted a year ago.

Same as reigns lesnar was set up a year ago.

I'm glad Rusev is getting good reactions but it won't last IMO

They should stick with the plan of Nakamura winning and facing AJ Styles

Taker/Cena. We all know the match won’t actually be very good, but the build up and drama would be dead good. If you excuse the pun.

Just a shame they didn't do it a few years back prior to Undertaker losing the streak, back when both were more mobile

I'm genuinely really excited for Brock Vs Reigns as well

Their first one at WM 31 was cracking. Can't wait for them to battle again
