GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Definitely feels that way.

I know he's technically medically cleared to wrestle again, just WWE docs saying he can't.

I like Shane, but it's growing abit tiresome now that he's gonna take another big spot at Wrestlemania, which could go to a younger full time talent.... I'm sure, just like AJ did, Bryan will carry Shane to a really entertaining match, but its booking like this which makes it impossible for the new generation to get over.... Again this year, the wrestlemania spots will go to Undertaker, HHH, Shane, Angle probably, Lesnar and Cena, and likely Daniel Bryan.....That's all part time talent/semi retired talent....

I often wonder had Hogan, Savage, Piper, Flair, Warrior etc all not left WWF, would Bret Hart, Nash, Hall, HBK ever have been elevated to big Wrestlemania matches.... And had Nash, Hall, Bret not then also left (and HBK been injured), would Austin, Rock, HHH ever been elevated.... Basically, WCW created more WWE stars then Vince did, because they forced him to give young talent an opportunity to main event....

WCW took all the old has beens and all the old trouble that went with them which made WWE a better product

Yep.... And as soon as WCW went out of business, Vince brought them all back..
in complete vince style.

I'm 3/4's of a way thro a book about him. i never realised just how nuts he actually is.

hes done some super unreal stuff, still does. and that's after tragic events such as benoit and pillman. its all about vince in every aspect make no mistake

I'm not a huge rusev fan or anything, but I'm genuinely surprised that he's THAT over and yet they won't push him at all

He and English should be tag champs right now

Nah. I like Rusev a lot (not keen on English at all like) but their gimmick is way too early for title talk.

Uso’s need new challengers though. Be arsed with New Day for about 5 years. SD tag division isn’t too bad as it goes now.

They were hardly has beens. Most of them could outdraw the current WWE roster to this day! It was a great plan initially from WCW who needed the old names for brand recognition. They just didn't know how to move past the older guys and push younger talent once they'd achieved that recognition. No booker ever really wants to push younger talent over a proven commodity in truth. Vince only did so out of necessity and desperation.

Austin Aries last night returned to TNA and won the world heavyweight championship on his first night back against Eli Drake, at an impact taping. what I found even more surprising was that TNA announced it themselves via Facebook and Twitter. I'm pleased for Aries at least who was horribly underutilized by WWE.
