GOT Wrestle Fest Fan Thread

Was waiting for someone to say this.

That's not endorsement of him - the reason he gets discussion isn't because he's worthwhile; it's because he sticks out like a sore thumb at what he does.

If he was competent in the role, then people wouldn't focus such negative attention on him.

It's like someone being terrible in their job in an office environment. They'll get talked about, but that doesn't mean the attention is good.

I like Reigns

I don't get the hate, I really really don't

When Bryan was around, yeah I kind of got it because he should have been the top face, but right now I see no reason why Reigns can't be the top guy. He'll do as a place holder until Balor is ready at the very least
He doesn't have to be hated at all. Nobody (or hardly anybody anyway) hates the guy. They hate that he's booked like superman and pushed well beyond his capabilities. He'd be an excellent upper mid card face champion for a few years, which would give him time to make himself better in the ring and on the mic. Instead hes been pushed well beyond his level far to quickly and above better and move over guys. It's Vinces decision to give him this mega push that will fail that people hate.

Like who? Who should have been pushed as the new top face instead of Reigns the last 3 years.
Rollins would of been a thousand times the better choice. Either Ambrose or Reigns should of been the ones to side with Triple H and betray the Shield. Half a dozen other guys on the roster would also of been better placed for this role. It was evident right from the start that Reigns was never going to be excepted as the guy and WWE's refusal to back off a little and slowly build Reigns up damaged him massively. He could still be a top face, it's how their going about it that's the problem.

Why? What's so wrong with his character? He can work the ring well and his mic skills are passable, I'd agree he's more suitable to be a heel though.

It's weird. When The Shield were a thing I thought he'd be the one I'd like most as a single.

But I actually hate his in ring style, his look, his character but a lot of it is everything I see 'out of the Lunatic' when he's being himself. Comes across like a tithead to be honest.

People don't want him to go heel though, they want him to go away. Him being face or heel doesn't change the fact that's he's an utter clown with charisma equal to a squashed snail. There's a reason they almost never let him talk for more that 30 seconds on live TV. I just don't see any qualities in him that will make him a legit star.

To be fair to Reigns, If you can show me a few good promos Undertaker did that were longer than 30 seconds I'd like to see them.... Reigns' last few promos were excellent... Short, cocky, heelish....a Massive improvement on the days of sufferin succotash...
I listened to his podcast with Jericho, and he came across pretty well...
I think fans will eventually take to him... In the mean time, I've never seen a heel get close to the heat he had on Monday night, and I enjoyed how he handled it...

He does come across as a tit outside of the ring tbf. He's the most natural heel of the three of them, I don't personally care for the 'lunitic' gimmick either but I don't see the problem with his in ring work. His style is far from ideal from my perspective but it's better then a massive chunk of the roster.

Undertaker did some pretty awesome promos as the American badass character and was even better with the whole "you will respect the Undertaker" gimmick. His ring work was also good enough to help him get away with his faults and he had and character who didn't need promos. When Reigns delivers one hundredth of the amazing work Undertaker has delivered I'll forgive Reigns for his poor mic skills. You can't get away with not being good on the mic if your not good in the ring and vice versa. It's not the 1980's anymore and nobody wants another Ultimate Warrior again.

I have a mate who idolises him.

Maybe I just don't get him.

All opinions of course.

I dont particularly like or dislike him enough to have strong feelings either way, i dont mind him but i dont care when he's nir on a show. Which from Ambrose's perspective is probably the worst thing anyone can feel. I think he's badly in need to a character facelift.
